We dined at Oceana, on 9/29/09. This was finally the dining experience that we were longing for on beautiful St. Thomas. There was 4 in our group and we enjoyed cocktails and wine by the glass, and a cigar before dinner on a quaint "New Orleans" style porch while overlooking the gentle rolling waves. We were warmly welcomed and encouraged to relax over drinks by the charming hostess. Our table was just feet from the beach in the open air restaurant. The ocean view was lit from above, making the water appear to sparkle. I enjoyed the sea bass, my companions had boulibasse, and 2 others enjoyed the halibut. all meals cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Elgin, carefully explained the menu and answered our questions in easy to understand english. The atmosphere was very relaxing, as the moonlight illuminated the bay we lingered over desserts. I had warm chocolate souffle, my companions had the cheesecake, we all shared bites and agreed that the meal was enhanced by the final indulgence. As we left the restaurant, which was getting very busy, we said good-bye to Megan the bartender, and the waitsaff, knowing that this was indeed an evening to remember.
