Myself & my husband live in Grenada but just wanted a break. I had always wanted to stay at Petite Anse as it has a fantastic reputation on the island I was not let down. The location is stunning the views from the hotel incredible. The staff are helpful, professional but friendly. The owners are so welcoming and friendly you feel like your staying with old friends ! Especially the lovely Anne whose very hands on nothing is too much trouble. The food I enjoyed tremendously English breakfast was tops. The nearby town of Sauteurs is only minutes away in a car very vibrant and the people again very friendly. What I particularly like about Petit Anse is that your not tied down to strict times for dinner and maids etc it's all at your pace ! Looking foward to returning soon love love love it

I can't say enough good things about Petite Anse!! The owners, Phil and Annie, make you feel like close friends from the moment they greet you. This trip was a dual celebration of our 20th annivesary, and my birthday. On my birthday, every time I was greeted by any staff memeber, they wished me Happy Birthday, and on our anniversary night Cecil, the chef, made a cake celebrating both occassions. There was enough cake to share with other guests and the staff. Their attention to detail, and willingness to accomodate what ever we needed was extraordinary. Even though we arrived very late, our driver called ahead and I spoke with Phil about having someting light we could eat, maybe just a salad, no problem. We arrived and there was a salad and ham and cheese sandwiches (home made bread). The rest of the trip was just the same. This hotel isn't for the casual traveler. It is off the regular tourist circuit (the reason we went there). We would definitely go back some day!!

Room Tip: Pineapple is just steps from the beach, and the view from your bed looks right out over the beach to...

Never ever ever stayed in the same place 3 times so that says a lot about how good this place is. Always feels like we are coming home. News of my terrible cold had reached them so when we got to our room there was a beautiful basket of fresh fruit to help me recover (along with a bar of chocolate!). Always look forward to seeing the staff again and spending time with Philip and Annie as well as meeting other guests as well as locals. As last time, we stayed in Palm which is the closest cottage to the beach and our favourite. Not often the sound of the waves can keep you awake at night! We spent some time up at the Grenada Chocolate Company which was another reason for our trip. Really not much more I can say - as it's all been said before in my previous reviews and nothing has changed apart from the chef. Cecil is a great chef and the food is outstanding. It's nice to spend time at this end of the island, away from the tourists in the South where, to be honest, you could be anywhere in the States. It's still nice but the north gives you a real flavour of what Grenada is about. See my reviews for the 2nd leg of our trip to the South and our stay at Mount Hartman Bay Estate.

We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Palm is the cottage closest to the beach and much more private than the others.

This is the kind of place you love to support with friendly owners and staff. And even though, the far North part of Grenada is not visited by many, the area is worth a visit of at least a couple of days, and if you do visit, this is definitely the place to stay. I called to see if they allow dogs, and they do, so that made it an easy choice. I had no idea how nice the place was, I was just grateful they allowed dogs. But from the very minute we arrived, we enjoyed every bit of our 1-night stay. The entrance is secluded with nothing else around, so if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place, this place gives you that. We asked to see a cottage before booking and they gladly showed us around. They told us the room was not ready, so we just took a swim in their beautiful pool, while we waited. The views of the vast sea and neighboring islands are incredible, and you can hear the waves crashing. This place provides everything you could need. Because they have air conditioners in the room, I asked for an extra blanket, and the owner Annie quickly brought 3 down to my room. The AC was a nice relief from the island heat. After a big lunch at Belmont Estate, didn't feel like eating, but the hotel's menu has plenty of choices and prices are reasonable. The value of this place was very good at $130, which included full breakfasts for 3 people in our room. The breakfast was excellent. I ordered the full English Breakfast, but they don't limit you on your food. Also included was a continental breakfast, with fruit salad and juices.I also ordered a waffle with my breakfast and coffee. All of that food was included with our room. What a great value. And then the best thing was when we asked what time we had to check out, Philip, the owner, told us whenever we want since no one had booked our room. We enjoyed a relaxing day until 2 p.m., swimming and playing backgammon and reading. With a friendly and caring staff, you can't go wrong at this place.

Room Tip: There are 11 cottages, and can't go wrong with any of them, as they all look out at the ocean wi...

We stayed at Petit Anse for the first 8 nights of our honeymoon, at the end of September 2013. Arriving late in the evening by taxi, long after dark, and tired from our flight, we were slightly apprehensive when we arrived in complete darkness, with little sign of other residents and the sound of crashing waves to welcome us. However, when we woke to the stunning view of blue sky, and the turquoise sea lapping away at Petit Anse's private beach, right in front of our huge veranda, any concerns soon disappeared!

We soon met Annie and Philip who were exceptional hosts, extremely welcoming and prepared to go above and beyond reasonable expectations to ensure that our stay was perfect. e almost felt as though we were guests at their house, which we actually were on our second night, when they invited us and another couple for a drink at their stunning home a mile or so away.

The food at Petit Anse is fantastic - Cyril was prepared to prepare food off the menu and was happy to spend time telling us all about the local ingredients and proudly show us into his spotless kitchen.

The pool and beach are also great, and the rooms - although relatively simple in their design (we were't looking for somewhere with huge tvs and all the mod-cons) - are very spacious and comfortable. e were in 'Nutmeg' which had a very large private veranda and a great semi-outdoor shower room.

Overall we loved our time at Petit Anse and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it as a great place to relax, far away from the tourist 'hot-spots' of Grande Anse and St Georges, and to use as a base for exploring all the hidden gems that Grenada has to offer.

If you're looking for a lively place with mod-cons and luxury fittings etc, in close proximity to lost of bars and restaurants, then think again, but if you're after seclusion, relaxation and top hospitality (from the whole team, as well as Annie and Philip), then this a fantastic hotel to choose!

Stayed there in July 2013. Beautiful view off the northern coast of Grenada, eco friendly, small private black sand beach, great food and best of all peaceful. On a bright sunny day you can see the smaller islands to the north.

My husband had searched for months for a location like this for our honeymoon. My stipulations were something off the beaten path (not touristy in any way), something small, and something were I could experience everything the location had to offer. My husband's stipulations were something in the Carribbean. Petite Anse Hotel filled all of our criteria!!

If you are looking for interaction with other tourists and all the touristy activities of larger resorts, then this is NOT the location for you. However, if you are looking for a petite piece of paradise away from the hustle and bustle, then this is what you are looking for.

From our room, we could see the sunrise and the beautiful sea!! We could watch birds and fisherman fishing!! We could hear the music from the near by town of Sauteurs and feel the tropical breeze on our faces!! It was so perfect that it almost didn't feel real!!

Our honeymoon ended up being greater than even our wildest of dreams because of the staff at Petite Anse!! From the housekeeping staff to the chef to the taxi service to the wait staff... everyone made us feel right at home!!

The food at Petite Anse was phenomenal. Chef Cecil did a great job of providing local cuisine for us!! We didn't want to eat anything but local cuisine, and Chef Cecil made sure we had nothing but the best!! From conch to salted swordfish to salmon barbecue... Every dish left us excited about the next dish. It got to the point where we didn't even have to order off the menu because Chef had something planned for us!! We really appreciated the time he took to get to know us and get our feedback too. We have not been to many places where we can just talk with the chef at the end of the day!!

The wait staff and bartending staff was great!! They were pleasant and fun to talk to!! When we asked about what they did for fun outside of work, they gave recommendations. After experiencing their recommendations for ourselves, it was always nice to come back to our "home" and share our experiences with them!! The housekeeping staff was great!! Our room was so tidy ever day!! Much better than anything we have had before!! The taxi service the hotel recommends is awesome!! We told Richie that we really wanted to experience the culture of Grenada and he surely did not disappoint us!!!

The owners and staff at Petite Anse definitely made our trip to Grenada magical!! From the trip to Sandy Island to the picnic on the private beach to a night in Gouyave for Fish Friday... Our expectations were exceeded time and time again!! We definitely will be coming back in the future!!

Room Tip: Far away from airport and the capital city St. George
