“Simply Stunning”

Vinales Valley is just stunningly beautiful. We hiked through it for around 5hrs on our first day. Walking through small farms, tobacco plantations, was just gorgeous. We were so glad we visited.

“Finca Agroecologica”

As a side trip while in the Vinales area, try this organic farm. The farm is run by a couple with the help of assorted workers. The couple is friendly, willing to talk about their organic farms - the day to day working. A portion of their produce goes to the state, a portion given to those in need, and they prepare meals for groups interested in exploring their life. The meals can be vegetarian and for those meat loves the animals are raised on the farm. The panoramic view will leave you wanting to stay, especially after a meal.

“Quite different than the rest of Cuba”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

Vinales is quite unique in Cuba, lots of green, countryside, big spaces. It is the place to go if you like the outdoors and you can live without too much nightlife for a while.

“Worth the trip and the drive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

After a few days in Havana, we were ready for a trip to see other parts of Cuba. While it is a bet commercialized for the tourist, the trip is well worth it. It shows a different side of Cuba, and how the rest of the country is so different than the big city.

The open spaces look like a small Yosemite Valley. Highly recommend it. It is a full day, and don't expect to get back before 7:30.

“Amazing views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

What a beautiful place, I wish we'd had more time in the area to explore. We stayed at a hotel called Los Jazmines and all the rooms had a small balcony with a view over the valley. As the sun went down the hills glowed.
It is a tobacco growing area, and quite humid, consequently the rooms were a bit damp. The cockerel woke us each morning, and the cats and kittens would like a bit of breakfast, so if you visit, don't forget them.
