We booked two nights after reading all the superlatives on Tripadvisor. And we have to agree with all of them. We were very warmly welcomed with a glass of delicious fruit welcome drink. Room was really nice, clean and light with large bathroom and maybe the best shower we experienced on Cuba. Behind the house you can find a natural garden with banana trees. But the best part of the stay were most probably the lovely hosts. Papo and Niulvys are sweethearts.

Thank you very much to our new dear friends Papo and Niulvys! We had an amazing stay with you in Vinales and were made to feel welcome and part of the family from our first arrival. Niulvys always had an enormous amount of food (most fresh from their garden), drinks (homemade delicious juices and refreshing mojito-always a winner!) and a huge amount of thoughtfulness. Papo even drove to find us so he could give us a lift up the hill to a hotel, very much to our surprise and we our legs were extremely thankful! Definitely stay here!

Room Tip: You have your own bathroom!

The three nights we stayed here were the best we had in our two week trip in Cuba in October.
As soon as we arrived, Niulvys sat us down and gave us a run-down of what we could do in Vinales. We asked if we could ride horses, and before I even finished my sentence Niulvys had already answered my question. She called her friend and had him pick us up the next morning.

Niulvys speaks very good English, but as soon as she caught on that I had a tiny bit of Spanish vocabulary, she really encouraged me to practice, which I appreciated.

Niulvys and Papo are so kind and welcoming and serve the most delicious food and drink. Our first night, my boyfriend and I sat on the roof drinking mojitos, reading our books, and taking in the incredible landscape, when Papo found us and brought us fresh-made plantain chips before dinner. Our first night we had really flavourful puerco, with soup, salad, more fried tubers, the most delicious friojles negros, and a very garlicky green bean dish. Cubans are limited in their vegetable options, but Niulvys really made the best of everything. For breakfast Niulvys makes a queso y jamon sandwich, but puts vegetables in it, which was a refreshing change. The second night she made us this huge plate of lobster in a very flavourful tomato sauce.

When I go back to Cuba, I'll be spending twice as long at Niuvyls and Papo's.

Thank you for the amazing stay!

This casa is one of the best you will find in Cuba. And by best I mean, location, hospitality, food, cleanliness; everything. I fell in love with Vinales and this casa. I can only find positive things to say about it. Niulvys is a great cook, do order breakfast and dinner there, you will not be disappointed. Niulvys also helped arrange a guide for us who took us horse-riding for a very reasonable price. One of the best things about this place is sitting in the front porch with a cocktail. A truly relaxing experience.

Room Tip: A room in this casa is very spacious and sleeps four people!

We really had a great time in Vinales! Niulvys is a great cook and one of the friendliest persons we met in Cuba. The lobster was delicious and the Mojito was also very tasty!! The room was also nice, the hostal is located in the centre of the town. Niulvys speaks good english although she says that she doesn't! :-) We can highly recommend this casa!
Thank you very much for this nice stay!

We loved this casa. Papo was a great host and really looked after us. We had some confusion about our booking which he was very apologetic about and he kindly drive us around the sights as a consolation...
Very clean rooms. Fridge. Large ensuite. Lovely terrace set back from the street. Hammocks too and a great view of the valley from his roof top! Close to the action but not too close. Vinales is a lovely location to visit but DO stay at Papos!
Great cooks too - eat here!
(His parents are right next door so if you have a large group you could stay here too - the standard looks to be equal to Papos...)

Room Tip: We had a large room at the front. 2 double beds. Large ensuite. Our only complaint is that the show...
