Delightful restaurant with well-prepared dishes with local ingredients that felt both authentic and modern. Wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly.. A lovely introduction to Barbados.

Although completely unsuspecting and not somewhere from the exterior that I would expect to be that good, I am beyond happy to be wrong as I was extremely impressed with the service and meal we received at Marco Polo. Really convenient for those staying at the Crane, super informal and relaxed but with a buzzy vibe. We all really enjoyed our meals, especially the baby back ribs which fell off the bone! Unfortunately one of us had a disappointing pesto pasta dish - it was too heavy on the pesto for our taste, but everything else was really great value for money and really well cooked. If you're looking for a casual, simple hearty meal - Marco Polo would be a great choice!

ThnKs for the reviews and so glad you enjoyed your visit, as for the “curb appeal” we have painted the front fence and entrance this weekend and the gardener has cut back the hedges a little more than normal

See you again. We hope

We went again with a bunch of old friends and as always there was excellent fresh fish, wonderfully cooked. The macaroni pie here is particularly good and tonight’s bread and butter pudding was the best I have had anywhere in the island. Those of us who stay at The Crane are particularly fortunate to Marco Polo so close by and we will certainly be back.

Marco Polo came highly suggested. Thankfully, I found this restaurant as the selection at my hotel was not great. Marco Polo is owned and managed by an Englishman. His fish, especially the catch of the day, is amazing. Fresh and prepared in order to enhance but not overwhelm the tast of the fish. Fish in Barbados can sometimes be overcooked which not only hardens the fish but distorts its taste. Not at Marco Polo.
The bar has a good selection of drinks.
It is highly suggested to make a reservation as the place fills up quickly.
