We stayed at the Crane Resort 1st week of Sept. Found a great local place right down the road (walking distance) for good local food at very reasonable prices -The Crane Palm. The menus varies as to what is available for the day. The best macaroni pie on the island! Also great chicken and fish dishes as well as a good local bar- very important of course. Best part is the owners and staff. Ernest and Terry are genuine and welcoming- good place to meet locals. If you're you're looking for an authentic island restaurant/bar experience- this is the place!!!

We wanted to eat off resort while staying at the Crane. Walked across the street to the Crane Palms. Food was decent and fresh, prices were reasonable. Staff were friendly, if not rushed. Sent family over the next night, and they also enjoyed it.

Food was delicious, very reasonably priced and went great with a Banks beer (local). Went on a weeknight after dark- short walk from Crane Resort and a breath of fresh air from the expensive food on site. Super casual, nice staff, and good atmosphere.

Though the food took awhile to come out, not surprising as 13 of us, they really looked after us and it was good home made food. Its a casual setting and a small place, bur very relaxing and calm. I enjoyed and my family the experience. Thankyou

This "restaurant" experience was hilarious. We ate here on our first night at the Crane resort because it's the closet restaurant to the resort and we had just arrived. The barkeep/waiter seemed very "inconvenienced" that we decided to sit down. He gave us an extensive menu which had lots and lots to choose from...unfortunately the kitchen had a "limited" selection that evening (and i have a feeling every evening!) Finally we ordered fried Flying Fish, a fried chicken thigh/leg and a chicken roti. The food was good but took forever to come out and the whole experience was so querky! Anyway, perhaps it's a different experience during the day when they still have stuff..but definately strange at night haha

Also, the entire meal for the two of us cost $20 USD so you can't argue with that!!
