This is my 2nd time at the Crane and it's become my favorite place, so much that I now own here! Their sales team is awesome...there are no presentations to attend, you voluntarily walk in and ask for more information.

The grounds feel like its own little town. It's quiet, calm and tranquil with beautiful views. Friendly staff. If you want to get away, look no further!

Love love love and I will be back!

Room Tip: Building 1-5 surround the pool. Building 8 and 9 are closer to the beach access.

Dear latilatilati,

We were thrilled to learn that The Crane has become your favourite place! It really does lend itself to those who want to get away from it all, offering undisturbed seclusion in a naturally beautiful location.

It has been a pleasure to welcome you into The Crane family and we look forward to doing so for many more years to come!

We were back to Barbados last week and spent a relaxing week at The Crane hotel. The grounds and vegetation keep improving with time and are meticulously maintained.
Our two bedroom ground-floor room with a 28foot pool in building 3 had amazing pool and sea views. The rooms are enormous and beautifully decorated. The hotel was at about 2/3 occupancy but beach and pool chairs were always available and the hotel did not seem crowded because of the expanse of the property. A large supermarket is less than a 10 minute drive away to find everything one needs for cooking in. Fruit and veggie stands abound in Barbados and fresh fish is always available in Oistins, 20 minutes away. We are already planning our return.

Room Tip: All the ocean front suites have fantastic views.

My husband and I just spent a week at the Crane Resort. The pools, grounds, ocean, rooms, food, & drinks were all wonderful!

Rooms- We stayed two nights in building 9, which overlooks Crane beach. Unfortunately we were only on the 2nd floor so our view wasn't that great. I think if you were on the 4th or 5th floor the view would be great. We then moved to building 5, which is on the opposite end of the property. We were on the 3rd floor and had an amazing ocean view. I even saw some whales breaching from the balcony. The rooms are very spacious with large decks and all you could need in the kitchen for a vacation.

Pools- The pools were great. The original pool is set off on its own away from the other pools. This is right by the overlook to Crane beach. The newer pool area has 3 or 4 tiers of pools. The design of the pools allows you to find more private spaces, rather than everyone gathered around the perimeter of one large pool. The pools were are nice refreshing temp and never too crowded or noisy.

Food- We purchased eggs from the general store and made our own breakfast each day. We ate lunch at the Carriage House everyday. The Mahi was really good, salads were great, and the sandwiches and wraps were pretty good too. We ate at all three restaurants, L'Azure, Zen, and D'Onofrios, for dinners. We found that the food was great at all places. We also enjoyed some great desserts from the ice cream shoppe. They had great fruit tartlets, mango cheesecake, banana bread, and good ice cream!

Beach- Crane Beach is breathtaking! The water is rough, but it is fun to play in the waves. Even though the water is rough, it is still very clear. There are vendors on the beach, but for the most part they are just there displaying their work.

Overall, this is a wonderful resort. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with warm temps and nice ocean breezes I would definitely go to the Crane Resort.

We have just returned from our winter break at The Crane.

It has become for us a home away from home as every time we go back we are made so welcome.

It seems to getter better each year we stay there....now don't get me wrong if you want a Wild and Party time the Crane is not for you. Please don't go there as you will only complain and there
is seriously nothing to complain about !

If you are young and you want to party then go to a Hotel on the West Coast-where it is hot,
sticky-where you must have your Air Conditioning on all the time and where you get bitten by Mosquitoes.

If you want a quite time at the most beautiful part of the Island with cool Atlantic breezes.
Where you don't need to ever have your air conditioning on and you don't get bitten by Mosquitoes....then The Crane is for you.

The rooms are large...The pools are superb and the beach one of the best in the world.

This time around we had a beautiful room in building five that overlooked the ocean...amazing on the fourth floor...its actually up for sale. If I was in the market to buy.. that would be the one the one to buy. Its a large two bedroom. With an enormous balcony over looking the ocean...just amazing.

What I also like about the Crane is that all the rooms (Being a time share Hotel) have their own kitchens ...so you are able to buy Fresh Fish from Oistins and cook it yourself....Fresh Tuna superb.

As I have previously said the Crane has become for us each winter a Home from Home and we look forward to returning next year.

Room Tip: If you book ask for building 5

We were a family of eleven people, four under the age of 6. We were slightly disappointed that we could not get the same penthouse that we had had on a previous visit, but once again The Crane did not disappoint. We had a beautiful penthouse in building 9 as well as an extra room booked one floor below. From the friendly staff to the beautiful grounds and beach it was a perfect holiday, despite our granddaughter being stung by a jellyfish. The attentive beach staff quickly sprayed her arm and one of the vendors ran up the stairs to get us a piece of an aloe plant to soothe her sting. Susan at the Carriage House was amazing, always remembering our cocktail orders and engaging in wonderful conversations. Our meals at the Italian restaurant were amazing, the staff always attentive to our little ones. This was our third visit and not our last. Relaxing days spent by the pool, walks on the beach, and always an ice cream treat before bed. The birds awoke us in the morning, breakfast at L'Azure was great althought the service was a bit slow there, the views are spectacular. The sea and the sounds of Barbados including the music from nearby bars lulled us to sleep. We felt safe and warm, just what we needed to escape a long Canadian winter.

Room Tip: Building 9 has beautiful ocean views, but building 5 is in close proximity to the beach and the rest...

We spent time at the Crane before Christmas and after the New Year 2014. We love to spend Christmas and the New Year with our family at home, they can't all come out every year. We dropped off our bags on the Saturday morning confident that the bell staff would have them in our room when we returned from a barbecue on Bottom Bay beach. Thank you Bryan, Grantley, young Errol and colleagues.
Our welcome at reception was warm, courteous and efficient, and enhanced by a great complementary Rum Punch. Wonderful to see Bernice, Cheryl and colleagues again.
We occupied a beautiful Ocean View room in Block 5 with no private pool. We used to do private pools but the Crane now has at least 5 communal pools and a not so hot tub, so the saving pays for extra weeks. As regular visitors it is like coming home, both to meet again familiar staff and familiar friends among the staff as well as some new faces. We were looked after very well in our room by Michelle from housekeeping, she was new to us but we would be very pleased to see her again. Many of the ladies in housekeeping who used to look after our rooms in years gone-by are now supervisors. Lovely to see Suzanne, Ingrid and Francia again.
The Crane has 5 restaurants including the Coconut Bar on the Beach. We used them all, our favourite was the Carriage Bar for lunch with Errol Edghill senior in charge, but they were all excellent. In addition there are 4 local bars and restaurants within 200 metres walk of the Crane gates, all worth a try.
Taylor the problem-solver and overseer is an old friend, also Sammy the Gardener, who can provide some beautiful flower arrangements on request, particularly Ginger Lilies. The beach is famous, rightly so and easily accessed by stairs or a very scenic elevator.
The views in the extensive grounds are spectacular and the buildings architecturally aesthetic. From time to time there may be a minor issue, like some item in the room being missing or not working. Pick up the phone and ask for help and a member of housekeeping or maintenance will attend to it promptly. Thank you Dwayne and Addison. The Atlantic breezes generally keep the insects at Bay, but to make sure fogging takes place each week. My wife and I were never bitten in several weeks.
The General store is useful for many basic commodities, non-perishable or fresh and the home made ice-creams in the Café are so good. Tristan and Amanda in Sales are delightful and Amanda is an accomplished nurse when the need arises. Ruth and her team in Reservations and Cathy in Accounts are very helpful and efficient.
Some youngsters say there is nothing to do here, but not the active ones. They usually come during College vacations and so seem to have plenty of like-minded company. The climate is near-perfect due to the warmth and the Trade Winds, and if it rains the sun usually comes out in half an hour.
Don't come to the Crane if you want jet-skis, Karaoke or all night disco music. You need to drive to do those. Any music is low key and finishes early. But there is plenty to do apart from eating, drinking, socialising and swimming in one of the pools or in the Ocean off the beach. Crane Beach is popular for body surfing, often you can see youngsters doing stand-up surfing, and Kite surfers regularly visit the beach. Play Tennis on the Crane's Courts (free) or use the Gymnasium (free) or spa. Try swimming out to visit the 17 old iron cannons on the Reef opposite block 5, and depending on the current, you can continue round to Foul Bay. Not for the faint hearted or weak swimmers, but 74 is not too old. On a calmer day take a microlight trip from the near by airport. SCUBA Diving, Golf and Horse Riding can be arranged as well as Catamaran Cruises or more serious sailing. Enjoy a deep sea fishing trip on a Charter boat. Colonel Sid a Crane guest caught a 240 pound Marlin in 2013. We will return.

Room Tip: Select according to your budget from a variety of styles and locations.
