So we went to The Crane for dinner last nite, since other alternatives simply did not appeal - drove right across the country to get there from the West Coast - and it was certainly worth it. On a whim, two of us ordered the Foie Gras appetizer...and it was simply divine!! Best ever! Presented in a visually appealing manner, with the right blend of sharp tastes and colours.
Totally decadent, and we felt sinful just indulging in the moment like that, but it has been truly memorable.
The main-course fresh fish was also fine, but not anything spectacular. The dessert was excellent and far too rich.
The night view from the restaurant is breathtaking, since it overlooks the world-renown Crane beach from about 100 feet up-high, with a perfect warm breeze (it's February, and we're from Canada!), and with all the stars visible in the night sky.
Chef same by, and was grateful for our praises; service was friendly, non-intrusive, and prompt. Cost average for Barbados, but very reasonable relative to North American 5-star standards.
We'll be back!
