We've spent the last month travelling through Europe & the UK, this visit was one of the highlights of our trip so far. We came to this town looking for family and didnt know what to expect. The Forest is beautiful, set in the lovely countryside. They deserve the five star rating & then some! Beautiful rooms, views, bathrooms and a full served breakfast! We will definitely return and would highly recommend this to anyone traveling through Wales!!

My partner and I came here for a 3 night stay. We stayed in the room named Hafren which was a good size and had a large comfortable 4 poster bed along with a television viewing area. The room was luxuriously fitted out with everything we could have possibly needed. The grounds were immaculately maintained and Paul and Michelle were both friendly and obliging. The surrounding countryside was both quiet and picturesque and a delight for walkers.

We stayed at the Forest recently and loved every second of it. I could not even begin to share the most enjoyable experience there because words alone would not do it justice. The most beautiful setting, generous size rooms and facilities, excellent hosts in Paul and Michelle (Paul kept me company and Michelle made me tea whilst i was waiting to be picked up), most comfortable bed and pillows, most delicious breakfast, free wi-fi... The list is endless. This is the best B&B we've stayed at and we can't wait to get back there for our next visit. I could not recommend The Forest highly enough, IT IS SIMPLY THE BEST! Paul & Michelle, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

We spent 2 lovely days and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. We slept in a very spacious room with a 4 poster-bed! which was extremely comfortable. We went for lovely walks which took us over hills and into Kerry. The hosts were very welcoming. There were lots of things to do on-site.

Room Tip: Bedroom was very, had an extra bed, large built-in-wardrobe and ensuite bathroom.

Me and my family have just returned from a long weekend break here, 08/05/12. We stayed in the new Forest Lodge wooden cabin.
We had a lovely relaxing weekend, the cabin was luxury, had everything we needed and more.
Lovely couple running things and very accomodating, the kids fed the animals and loved the adventure playground and other facilities.
Surrounding area is beautiful, we only live a couple of hours away but it felt like a different world, will definitely be returning in the future.

Room Tip: We can only recommend the lodge but i'm sure the other accomodation is also lovely.

I came with my family to Wales as part of a few days escape from the hustle and bustle of a busy urban life style and I wasn't disappointed! We stayed in the Forest Byre cottage - everything we could possibly want and more for a relaxing and very comfortable stay. The cottage is very well-appointed - you felt you could just move in! Then there is the peace of the beautiful countryside - Montgomery and Powis castles are not far and there are many places to go for great hikes just leaving The Forest (without having to take the car anywhere). We had dinner in a very nice restaurant (Lou Lous) in Newtown (5 minutes down the road by car). We'll be back for more relaxation and comfort soon!

We stayed the weekend and had a wonderful time in a very well appointed room that includes a very comfortable bed and fully fitted walk in shower. The house is full of fine features including a traditional lounge where we spent several fun hours playing bagatelle. Michelle and Paul looked after us extremely well with delicious food. Highly recommended.
