Please stay away from Rhyl or any other North Wales seaside town. The place is totally run down, full of derelict buildings and even though we [group of 3 friends] visited Wales during bank holiday weekend, Rhyl seemed completely deserted with no sign of life even late at night. The Westminster hotel was as run down as the rest of the town and served most disgusting breakfast ever. Keep away from Rhyl and this hotel and go to Lake District instead. Don't get me wrong, Snowdonia scenery is gorgeous, although if you want to have some social life at the end of the day, forget it. We couldn't wait to get out of Wales: it's tiny caravan jammed roads, dodgy hotels, tasteless food and the lowest of the low choice of entertainment. Not even mentioning the depressing atmosphere of supposedly buzzing seaside resort... never again!
