this was the last choice of our picks from the sun holiday.had not been to this area since i was little so i was still looking forward to it. we had a bump with the car a week before so we caught tha train to rhyl then a short taxi ride to the park.we arrived very early but we told them what had happened to us and they gave us the keys early no problem at all.
reception staff very nice and told us we had a free upgrade!!!
the caravan was stunning.clean modern heating throughout would love to own one.very happy family!!
settled in(see father ted!! ha) then went for a quick walk around and to the beach.the park is well kept and as far as i can see there were no old caravans on site most all looked new modern.kimmel bay beach right next to the park altough it was october so weather not great and probably didnt do it justice.
clubhouse etc.exellent prices not bad at all and the entertainment was good especially the motown singer.only slight dissapointment was the arcade.as a bit of a gambler the machines and the quantity and quality fell a little short.but a very minor gripe.the other bar area as sky sports always a bonus for footy fans.
surrounding area.there is a bus stop outside the park entrance regular buses to take you into rhyl we went on friday afternoon family bus ticket for the day £15.rhyl is desparetly in need of a face lift no funfair anymore.but there are numerous bars eating places and shops and arcades.ok for an afternoon.if you turn right out of the entrance and over the bridge there is a funfair a pub that does a bargain carvary £5.95!!! lovely.and a huge outdoor market on sunday.our hilight of the weekend though had to be the welsh mountain zoo beautiful surroundings lots to see leaflets etc directions in reception.
so would i come back.yes i would the park is better than a lot of haven and park resorts ive been to and as a family owned park trying to do their best against the big boys i am so pleased it is a good holiday park.keep up the good work.
