I have just returned from a 2 night stay at Yr Hen Fecws and was really impressed. I shared a twin room, which was very clean and had comfortable beds. The bathroom was immaculate and hot water available at all times. The owner was very welcoming and provided excellent service. Breakfast was superb with several choices. The location of the B&B is very central and has free parking facilities. No toiletries are provided (except handwash) however most people prefer to bring their own.

All in all an excellent B&B, worthy of an upper class hotel standard!

We had 3 rooms(1 double and 2 twin rooms) booked for 2 nights. On arrival on sat evening,we were told the cafe had stopped serving food and could not get even hot drinks! We found out the cafe does not open on Sunday as well which is misleading as their website should state this!
The rooms were clean, comfortable and small but adequate for 1 -2 nights stay!
The shower was clean and hot water at all times!
Breakfast was very good with choice of cereals, juices and choice of hot options-eggs,bacon,sausages,mushrooms,tomatoes,toast etc.
The location is near the harbour and walking distance to town and parking on the rear and front on main street!
Avoid the rooms in front as the it was very noisy with people visiting, leaving or standing outside the pub next door late in the night was very annoying!!
The owners are friendly enough, but feel the place is expensive for what you get!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms in front of the B&B which are facing the street and ask for opening times for the ca...

Our room was small, hanging space limited, toiletries less than adequate. This B/B is only suitable
for short stays and is expensive for what is provide. We were on a 4 day holiday and this was the worst B/B of the trip

Room was clean and comfortable, if a little on the small side. Though perfectly adequate for our one night stay. Owners very friendly and accomodating to our needs - allowing us a later check out time to prepare for a wedding. Very grateful for their help and thoughtfulness.

Breakfast was excellent - more than adequate choice.

Handy location being near the harbour and town.

My wife and I both enjoyed our stay and felt welcome. Room was a little small, but pleasant, and we really enjoyed the location by the harbour. Good parking facilities. A pity that the restaurant wasn't doing evening meals any more, as I remember a previous stay some years ago when we had a really great meal. Porthmadog is a little short of nice places to eat.

I have never paid this much for a B&B and got NO toiletries apart from handwash. No shampoo, shower gel, soap, tissues, no hairdryer, People were coming to breakfast with wet hair!
Room was clean and tea and coffee were provided but no nibbles (they do run a cafe). Breakfast was fine but not much choice compared to the other places we stayed in. Had to ask if you wanted more coffee etc.
Not good value for money

Room Tip: The only thing I can say here is it is next door to a pub I was only woken once but we did stay midw...

Just returned from a 2 night break at Hen Fecws. What can I say... welcoming friendly owners, lovely rooms, great ambience, fab breakfast and good location. Whilst rooms are small they are modern, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Looking forward to returning.
