My son and I spent the last weekend at Pineapple House. Fantastic place! Immaculately clean, and apparently newly renovated in every respect, with super-friendly Mike and Donna as innkeepers. Our room was comfy, the lobby/reception area was nice, and the home-cooked breakfast plentiful and made to order. Mike was full of good suggestions about local activities and hikes, and Donna had great tips for local restaurants.

Pineapple House is on a quiet road away from the main hubbub of Glencoe and Fort William. This is nice. On the other hand, you won't get Loch views here, and will need to drive a bit to get into town (15 min to Glencoe).

If you like seafood, go for Loch Levin Seafood Cafe. Voted best seafood in Scotland last year, and for good reason!

This place is lovely. The hosts are lovely. The location, bedding, amenities are all super. One or two oddities that shouldn't throw you off but are worth mentioning. First it is English owned so this is an English version of a Scottish experience. Different than Scottish owned places we stayed while in Scotland. Second the Internet must be dear to pay for. We had to ask to have it turned on and felt like we were intruding to domso. A better policy might be to have it available for guests at a set time like 5-6 pm or 8-9 am. It must cost money by the minute or something because it just seemed stingy to have to keep asking for it each time we needed it. Lastly, there are many heavy doors that will separate you from other guests, the owners, the dinig room, and so forth. The doors change the feel from cozy to hotel-like. None of these should keep you from loving this place - just would be nice to know in advance.

It is kind of our guests to provide feedback on their stay, we have been living at Pineapple House for 5 years, and we offer a high standard of service and comfort in a relaxed environment.

We would like to comment on a few points,

The doors you speak of are fire doors, which we are bound by law to have, however
we will look into this and see if the doors can be eased a little.

With reference to wireless internet this is available, the only issue we had at the time of your stay (And I am sorry if we did not explain this to you) the wep access code was dropping out and had to be reconnected, which we are happy to do, however we do realise this was a little inconvenient for our guests.

We hope this did not spoil your experience at Pineapple House.

This is an exceptionally well presented, clean, modern and contemporary B&B. The owners, Mike and Donna are very friendly and accommodating - nothing would seem to be too much trouble. The views from the rooms are great and the rooms themselves immaculate. Breakfast was fantastic in both quantity and choice. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Having tried almost all the hotels in and around Loch Leven, Onich & Ballachulish and being seriously dissapointed with them all, I mean seriously dissapointed! We thought we would try Bed and Breakfast. Boy are we glad we did!
This is a first class establishment, A quality room with quality fixtures and fittings, incredibly clean with modern fixtures in the bathroom.
We had a delicious breakfast & the hosts were unobtrusive and very pleasant and helpful.
There is not a Hotel that comes close to this quality in the area.
Great location for visiting Fort William, Glencoe, or even Appin and Oban.
Thanks!
