I stayed here on my way to, and coming back from, Islay. Andrew's place could easily have been my destination as his rooms were clean and comfortable, his food was delicious, his knowledge of the area was extensive, and the views were unbelievable. Being my first trip to Scotland, Andrew introduced me to the local delicacies (haggis, black pudding, potato scone) and the traditional way to eat them (nothing like starting the day of with a touch of whiskey on your haggis. .. after all I was in Scotland!). I am so glad that I stumbled across The Moorings and will definitely make it my go to place in the area.
