I had fish n' chips here while travelling back north from a flying visit to Kintyre - they were crispy, fluffy, utterly delicious and the fish was wonderful! We had one supper between us and as they're big portions that was absolutely adequate. This was followed by creamy coffee and a scrummy tray bake - eaten on the front overlooking the fishing boats and yachts in the harbour. Heaven! Tarbert has a great atmosphere and busy, bustling character while being peaceful and scenic and the Ca'Dora cafe has been part of the harbour-front shops for a very long time - an institution!

Always stop here for something to eat. Usually have fish and chips as they are lovely! Tried chicken fajitas this time. Two plates arrived with loads of tasty fillings, however, no place to "assemble" the fajitas. Service was fine, quick and efficient. Only criticism would be there were no hand towels in the toilet. Staff should have picked up on this as people were wiping their hands on their jeans to dry them on the way out. Will definitely be back.

Had a meal here with friends one friday night and was very surprised with what the "cafe2 had to offer. From outside it looks like a very unassuming place and indeed inside is also bland. However, the choice on the menu would put many more expensive establishments to shame.
Scallops with black pudding and whitebait etc as starters and a whole host choices for the main course. Portions are large and the lady serving was excellent at keeping all the tables amused....
Prices are very reasonable and I would not hesitate to return when I get the opportunity again.

We ate at this place twice in a week after stumbling upon it coming off the Lochranza-Tarbert ferry. The quality of the food is excellent and well-priced. Friendly staff who clearly welcome kids.
