Walking Mann recently advertised smaller 2 hour guided tours for the new year. My girlfriend and I decided to go on the tour of Scarlett and Pooil Vaiish. Ian met us at the car park although a free pick up was offered if we needed.
The tour was an easy walk along the coast near Castletown with intervals along the way. Ian provided informative historical notes of the area which, even for local people, was interesting and well researched. Although the group was large(20/25) people, Ian made time to chat to everyone and we all felt like one group of friends by the end. Even the dogs!!!!
Look forward to another walk soon and thank you from both of us.

Great start to the day as Ian has ample room in his minibus and collects from your door and back again. After picking up the other walkers we headed out to Maughold for a three hour walk around the coast visiting fantastic inlets i have never visited before and meeting interesting people on the way, There is map man (you need to ask Ian about him) and an amazing character building shelters on the beach. The trip ended with a really interesting visit to the church and its grounds to see the ancient celtic crosses and Keeils before heading home. Well worth the visit and Ian is a real gent.

What a great way to start off the day on a Sunday morning, walking up north barrule with a lovely group of people. It’s an amazing way to get exercise and get the most beautiful Manx views. However, the weather was not on our side and was overcast but the hike it’s self was brilliant. It’s my third hike with the walking Mann and and I have really enjoyed my time.

Ian is incredibly enthusiastic and friendly in the extreme.

He seems to know the Island inside and out and is passionate about the Island, its people, history and culture.

I could not recommend him more highly!!

We were a group of 5 friends. Ours was a moderate walk. Ian picked us up at various locations and took us to Maughold for a wonderful informative walk. Beautiful views with lots of good local knowledge. The mini bus was spacious and comfortable and we were dropped home after a great day. Highly recommended.
