“Enjoyable stay in comfy roomy barn in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed August 2, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

My family stayed for a week at the Barn. It is very comfortable spacious and relaxing accommodation with high ceilings and wooden beams. The owner is friendly and helpful but not intrusive in any way. It is a lovely peaceful location set in an old farm estate. We saw deer and fox cubs on the property and there is a lovely wood to walk in. The Barn is located on the edge of the charming village of Holmbury St Mary and is within a short drive of Shere and Dorking Town.

Absolutely stunning barn conversion in a truly unique and idyllic location. Very well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge with gorgeous wood burner and lots of electronic gadgets for the children!! Beautiful bedrooms with the most divinely comfy beds. Kay, the owner, is just delightful. Helpful and friendly, even bringing freshly laid eggs for breakfast. Wonderful stay....we'll be back very soon!

“Idyllic”
Reviewed June 26, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Returning home to the Surrey Hills for a short visit after moving to Ireland two years ago we wanted somewhere that allowed us to wallow in the beauty of this area, have friends over and a base from which to visit friends.
The Barn is beautifully decorated and embraces its surroundings. It has everything you would need and then some. With three children (ages 13, 11 & 9), the usual squabbling diminished as they enjoyed the gardens, playing ping pong and the trampoline. Kay, the owner, indulged my horse mad daughter and allowed her to help out with the three horses everyday. In spite of being adjacent to the main house we enjoyed total privacy.

We will definitely be rebooting for future trips back to UK.

“Lovely Weekend Escape”
Reviewed February 9, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Very comfortable barn, nice location and host Kay was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed some nice walks direct from the property and the local pub (The Kings Head) served very good food also with friendly owners. The 3 bedrooms were good size, only one disadvantage was just having one shower/toilet, so could possibly be a bit of problem if 6 people staying longer than a weekend, could perhaps do with another separate toilet. We otherwise did all enjoy the weekend and was very comfortable.

“Gorgeous Stay in the Country”
Reviewed July 30, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Myself and my hubby, 2 teenage children and my parents stayed here for a weekend in July. Excellent - what more can I say. A beautiful barn conversion in a little piece of countryside paradise. Two of the bedrooms had patio doors opening up onto the field beyond - what better way to start the day. The owner was lovely and made us feel very welcome.

We were approximately 20 minutes from Cranleigh and 20 minutes from Guildford so ideal position. There are 2 pubs in the nearby village which are within walking distance but for anything more you do need to use the care.

“Great London escape”
Reviewed June 9, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

I stayed here this weekend with a group of girl friends and had a lovely time. It has 3 good size rooms, one double, one king and one with twin beds. The lounge and kitchen are open plan with enough sitting areas in the lounge and dining room for 6 people. The weather was lovely all weekend so we were able to sit outside and make use of the trampoline. The oven didnt work whilst we were there but the owner kindly took our food and cooked it in their oven and brought it back. There wasnt enough hot water for all 6 of us to shower but the owner was going to get it fixed when we left and it didnt matter for our stay as it was a warm day. There were tonnes of DVD's which kept us entertained on Saturday evening. It was extremely quiet which made a great change from London!
Make sure you use the instructions you are sent and if you do a food delivey make sure you give it to them too! Phone signal is patchy so make sure you have them downloaded before you get close as sat nav wont take you completely there. The fridge is quite small, big enough for a weekend but if you are there for the week you may want to do a smaller shop and there is no freezer.

I would recommend staying here especially as it took less than an hour to drive from Clapham.
