“What a wonderful Experience!”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

We were visiting friends at the local holiday park and decided to stay over. I have never stayed in any kind of guest house or farm before as we generally stay in 4* hotels but as this was located just a couple of miles away we decided to give it a go.
We guess you can thank Four in a bed for us braving the whole new world of B&B Guest Houses!
Well we shouldn't have worried about it.
We were greeted on arrival with a wonderful pot of tea for two and then shown our room. To say I was surprised was an understatement! The bathroom was fully furnished with a seperate bath and shower unit and was almost as big as the room itself. The bedroom was tastefully furnished and with all the added extra touches they had in the room far exceeded any 4* Hotel room I have ever stayed in before.
The room was cleaned to an excellent standard and smelt very fresh and clean.
Breakfast was freshly made to order but if you go on the 23rd August you may get an extra treat of a Bucks Fizz as we were lucky to be celebrating Chrysta's birthday with her (the owner).
Overall an incredible experience and one that now puts B&B Guest houses on my radar - thank you! - Tracy and Stuart

Room Tip: Unfortunately, they only have three right now but wow - you need to get in early to experience some...

Thank you for your review.

I am so glad that we were able to meet your expectations and seem to have turned you from the bigger hotels - us small B&B's can often give the hotels a real run for their money!

It was lovely to have you here for my birthday and to share some Bucks Fizz for breakfast.

I hope you get the chance to return in the future.

All the best

This was our second stay at this wonderfully welcoming luxury bed and breakfast which prides itself on its exceptional standards of cleanliness, service and value. What makes Village Farm unique however is Chrysta! Chrysta is a gifted amateur chef who created a truly delightful vegetarian dinner for us. Chrysta would be a very worthy contender on Masterchef.

Thank you for your review and your lovely comments.

I am so pleased that you liked the food - it is always good to be able to try some different recipes. I'm not quite sure I'm ready for Masterchef though!!

We needed a B&B for a last minute stay by the coast and were very lucky to find a room available here. Being a family of four we shared a spacious and beautifully decorated room which was of course clean & relaxing. We were welcomed with a pot of tea in the tea room and sent away with generous portions of lemon drizzle cake! The breakfast was fresh and delicious using local ingredients. We were fortunate to be able to extend our break to another day - this is a place you will not rush away from! We will definitely return to Village Farm.

Recommended to us and 1st time we've been to the cafe and it was excellent. Limited menu but all excellent stuff - lovely sandwiches and gorgeous home made cakes. Delicious. Will definitely return.

Cafe only open at weekends though.

Thank you so much for your review of our Tea Room, we are glad that you enjoyed the experience.

Our menu is limited so that we can ensure the quality of what we produce - all our sandwiches are made with home made bread and all of our cakes are baked at Village Farm by me. We do try to offer some different cakes through the season taking account of fruit that is available - the Plum Cake has been especially good over the last few weeks.

I hope that you get the chance to return in the future - we will close at the end of September until Easter 2014.

Kind regards

Chrysta

We stayed here recently for the second time with our 4 young kids and 2 dogs. It was delightful, as it was the first time. The owners are lovely people and incredibly welcoming and the venue is perfect for families, with a gate that can be closed to keep everyone in. We've often thought about buying a holiday home on the coast but, with places as good as this to stay at, there really isn't much point. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

We can highly recommend the Village Farm B&B in Skipsea; we called in on the off-chance of seeing the sign 'Tea Room'; home made bread for the finger sandwiches, beautiful scone with jam and fresh cream, 4 pieces of delicious home made cake, and of course a glass of prosecco.
The hosts, Chrysta and Tony were very friendly and we chatted about beds in hotels. Chrysta invited us to look at their accommodation, which we jumped at the opportunity of sleeping in a king sized bed with memory foam mattress, and the large bathroom with separate shower cubicle. The high quality of soft furnishings, even down to the door handles and hinges. The accommodation was so comfortable and we slept very well. The breakfast menu the morning after was extensive and all fresh produce, freshly cooked and well worth what we had paid. We will certainly go again, thank you x
