Booked this last minute and pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and comfortable with original 16th beams and wonky floors! Staff very friendly and helpful. The dining menu has a good choice and the food was great, particularly the assiete dessert for sharing. Breakfast was also good. Very good value for money and a stones throw from Oxford. ............................

My husband & I have just returned from our 2 night stay, I wasn't worried at all as recent reviews suggested The White Hart was a lovely place but our expectations were surpassed WOW!!! We were greeted at reception with a warm welcome & shown to our lovely room over looking the high st. The food was excellent, the staff exceptional & the location wonderful what more can I say? Thank you so much

We booked our two day January break at this beautiful old Coaching Inn through Travelzoo. The quality of everything ... accommodation, food and friendliness of all the staff was exceptional value for money (and the added "bonus" of the Oxford tour bus topped off the deal!)!
The White Hart has been sympathetically restored retaining all of its character and charm (creaking radiators being the only negative comment!) but with a contemporary twist. Shaun, Ali and their team create the perfect atmosphere for a memorable break to this tranquil English village, topped off with first class food!!
We definately hope to return.

booked last minute 2 night deal through travel zoo which was exceptional value compared to the cost if we had booked at standard room rate and chosen equivalent menu selection. stayed in a standard double which was clean, warm & very comfortable. slight road noise with rooms at the front of the hotel but still slept well. staff were friendly & helpful with bus timetables & park/ride directions. my only observation, some of the crockery at both breakfast & evening meals that was served to us had quite noticeable chips to it, did not affect the great food though! ample car parking at rear of hotel and nice walks in the village.

Room Tip: ask for room at rear of hotel if you are easily disturbed by road noise

Apologies for late review

Stayed here as two couples in Aug 2012.

Travelzoo deal, £198 per couple for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast plus free tickets to Blenheim Palace

Food was very good, fine dining first night, harvest menu second night. Harvest is very very good quality food, not able to be described as pub grub as its far better!

Breakfasts good too

Room was fine, clean tidy and spacious. Service and friendliness good

Unbelievable value
