We had a Salmon fillet with fresh veg on the side and pork in a peppercorn sauce, finished off with a citrus bread and butter pudding and an apple flan with custard.the food was delicious and fresh.

As we were staying in Bainbridge we looked at the local eating places just along the road was Askrigg and the White Rose Hotel.
We gave it a try and was very surprised at the quality of the food my wife had the Chicken with goatcheese and bacon for myself the Chicken Tikka Masala both dishes came very hot in temperature and both with great flavour
So impresed we gave the establishment another try the following night with the Tenderloin Pork with mushroom and blackpepper corn sauce and the Beef and Ale pot pie again very impressed with both. So delighted with these two experiences we went back yet again the next night with again the Tenderloin Pork and the Chicken Tikka Masala.
Each evening the food arrived piping hot and the flavours just great we are so sorry that we cant go back a fourth time as now we have to drive back to Kent.
When in the area again The White Rose Hotel will most definately get another visit from us.

Whilst this establishment provided a perfectly acceptable meal, it did just lack that little bit of finesse and certainly is not a fine dining experience.

We had one evening meal here, Some enjoyed their choice others found them average. One girl seving meant that she struggled to give the right service but she was excellent in what she did. Very clean areas with a bar as well.

After having endured many a pub meal, most of them very disappointing (bland flavours, tasteless fish and chips with the inevitable peas and a tray of condiments (to add flavour I suspect), what a pleasure to have a beautifully prepared and flavoursome meal. My rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and my husbands grilled trout was perfect. Beautifully prepared vegetables, and everything had flavour. Service was good and the prices were excellent for such lovely food.
