The most amazing house I cannot think of anything that would improve it ( except belonging to me) lovely little tucked away rooms to sit and read or just enjoy the house. A library that made me gasp. The gym and the games room the pool table and the bar give lots of scope for family's to play together or just enjoy each others company. The Lady and the Gentleman who own this wonderful dwelling place ( Trish and Jim if I may be so bold) were like long lost friends and we were all made to feel welcome and wanted. I think I am right in saying we WILL be back and thanks to you two wonderful people

This is an amazing property which has only recently come on to the rental market. It is ideal for a large gathering of friends or family, even a small wedding.
The setting is idyllic and there are plenty of hideaways to enjoy the serenity of the location – the herb garden, the orchard, the south facing terrace or indoors in the library. More active party members are well catered for as the area is renowned for its good walking and on site there is table tennis, giant chess, pin ball and pool.
The kitchen is huge, (I think we counted 32 cupboards) and there are lots of work surfaces, so everyone could pitch in and help with the cooking .
In the evenings you can barbecue on the terrace, cook dinner in the Aga, party to the sound of the juke box, enjoy cocktails at the bar, dance the evening away – the wooden floor is perfect for dancing and there is plenty of space.
We have visited three times now and love the place more each time.
This is a unique property and there are certain to be many repeat bookings.

We booked this accommodation to celebrate our joint 50Th birthdays with 18 friends. We were met by the owner Trish on arrival and she showed us round this fabulous property. We were totally knocked out with the quality and furnishings throughout. The kitchen is HUGE.. and makes a great area for cooking, eating and just hanging out. The lounge with its massive wood burner is ideal for entertaining, and the bar area with pool table and jukebox (both free) was a great success. The bedrooms... mostly en-suite were all of a very high standard.. which ensured a good nights sleep. Although while we were there the weather wasn't too kind... the outside of the property is outstanding with fantastic views all round. there are plenty of good walks and the local pubs at askrigg ,bainbridge and hawes are worth a visit ,if you can drag yourself away from the house. We would highly recommend hilltop farm, and would love to return.
