Stayed at Wydon for two nights. Had a fantastic time have never stayed in a B&B or on a working farm. The room was great, breakfast was very good. The hosts are very friendly and have lots of information on places to go. We will definately come back again. Wydon is perfect everyone should go. Thank you very much for a great time

Very nice bed and breakfast on a working country farm. They picked us up at the Haltwhistle train station and even dropped us off at the Roman Army Museum to hike and take the AD122 bus from there. Very hospitable staff, clean and cozy room with farm charm and a great breakfast. Really everything we hoped for to get a taste of northern England country living and wished we could have stayed at least one more day.

Very very impressed. It looked lovely online and was very lovely in real life. Linda was very a helpful and sweet person. We had extra milk in a fridge in the room, fresh fruit and lots of biscuits, with a large choice of teas, coffees and hot chocolate drinks. Our room was huge, we had the one with the bubbley bath, a gorgeous 4 poster bed, and a massive shower. In the room were lots of information books with sample menus for local pubs.
Breakfast in the morning was fantastic! Yoghurts, fresh fruit, cereals, and a lush cooked option too, with local sausages and eggs I'm sure came from the very free range hens roaming the garden!
I can't rave about this place enough, I highly recommend this farm, and we will definitely be staying here again!!

Stayed for three days during a wet July (!) but found a warm and hospitable B&B on a working farm. Lovely generous breakfasts, comfortable, spacious rooms. A really lovely setting and centre for exploring the countryside of Northumberland, Hadrian's Wall, the coast and the beautiful market towns and villages of the region.

This is an excellent B&B set in a beautiful rural setting. The breakfast is great and includes a full Scottish plate, if desired, as well as many other options. Rooms are newly refurbished, very clean, and have many unexpected amenities including flavored water, many toiletry needs, and others. The owners are extremely courteous and helpful.

The farm is very quiet and the surrounding valley provides a pleasant view. All stone construction lends a rustic appearance but the inside is graceful charm with exposed beam ceilings. The purpose of our short stay was to visit Hadrian's Wall which has some of its top exhibits only 1-2 miles away.

Room Tip: Choose to upgrade (only slightly) to the Jacuzzi room since it also has a very nice shower too. If y...

My six cycling friends and I stopped at Wydon Farm for one night on our journey coast to coast from Whitehaven to Tynemouth. After some steep climbs over the hills around Hadrian's Wall we were ready for some luxury. The rooms were a really generous size, tastefully decorated and very comfortable, and very nice and clean. Linda was very welcoming and helpful, and she makes a great cooked breakfast. We took a taxi in to Haltwhistle for the evening, and had a great meal at The Black Bull. We really enjoyed our night, and I would certainly stay at this B+B again if I were in the area.

We went to Northumbria over Christmas, keeping our fingers very tightly crossed. Linda opened the B&B over Xmas for us which we were very grateful for. The rooms are fabulous, and considering we were the only guests over the Christmas period, Linda moved us to a larger room with a bath at no extra cost. The room was beautifully furnished, very warm, clean and cosy with all the amenities. The bath was a welcome feature after our walks. Breakfasts were hearty; and Linda provided us with beautiful breakfasts on Christmas and New Year's day. We were also given suggestions to restaurants serving wonderful Christmas and New Year meals.

The B&B is conveniently located just off the main road to Haltwhistle, and for short trips to the wall. There is a lovely footpath by the river taking you into Haltwhistle and avoiding the main roads.

We felt very welcome on this working farm, and would definitely stay at Wydon again when we are in the area.
