This is an excellent B&B set in a beautiful rural setting. The breakfast is great and includes a full Scottish plate, if desired, as well as many other options. Rooms are newly refurbished, very clean, and have many unexpected amenities including flavored water, many toiletry needs, and others. The owners are extremely courteous and helpful.

The farm is very quiet and the surrounding valley provides a pleasant view. All stone construction lends a rustic appearance but the inside is graceful charm with exposed beam ceilings. The purpose of our short stay was to visit Hadrian's Wall which has some of its top exhibits only 1-2 miles away.

Room Tip: Choose to upgrade (only slightly) to the Jacuzzi room since it also has a very nice shower too. If y...

My six cycling friends and I stopped at Wydon Farm for one night on our journey coast to coast from Whitehaven to Tynemouth. After some steep climbs over the hills around Hadrian's Wall we were ready for some luxury. The rooms were a really generous size, tastefully decorated and very comfortable, and very nice and clean. Linda was very welcoming and helpful, and she makes a great cooked breakfast. We took a taxi in to Haltwhistle for the evening, and had a great meal at The Black Bull. We really enjoyed our night, and I would certainly stay at this B+B again if I were in the area.

We went to Northumbria over Christmas, keeping our fingers very tightly crossed. Linda opened the B&B over Xmas for us which we were very grateful for. The rooms are fabulous, and considering we were the only guests over the Christmas period, Linda moved us to a larger room with a bath at no extra cost. The room was beautifully furnished, very warm, clean and cosy with all the amenities. The bath was a welcome feature after our walks. Breakfasts were hearty; and Linda provided us with beautiful breakfasts on Christmas and New Year's day. We were also given suggestions to restaurants serving wonderful Christmas and New Year meals.

The B&B is conveniently located just off the main road to Haltwhistle, and for short trips to the wall. There is a lovely footpath by the river taking you into Haltwhistle and avoiding the main roads.

We felt very welcome on this working farm, and would definitely stay at Wydon again when we are in the area.

Thanks to Linda and family for making us feel welcome on their working farm. This b&b is highly recommended for anyone wishing to stay on a working farm in a peaceful location. It is very well positioned for visits to the wall and to haltwhistle - there's a virtually traffic free footpath back from haltwhistle (visit the Black Bull - also highly recommended. It's a lovely part of the world - well worth a visit.

This B&B was our 1st stop on our Hadrian's Wall walk. Our hosts collected us from the path within minutes of telephoning them. The rooms were fantastic, clean and comfortable. There was a bath in our room, a very welcomed feature after our 20+ mile walk. We were provided with a fabulous 3 course dinner and a packed lunch the next day. We slept in huge comfort and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast which set us well on our way for our 2nd day of walking! Cannot recommend this B&B enough!! Really excellent!

Very pleasant room. Well priced at 50 pounds. Magnificent breakfast. When I thought I left my iPad they searched room and followed up. I hope to go back for salmon fishing someday.

We loved this place. It is pretty in pictures and even more so in person. Every little detail is here: lovely grounds, great location to Hadrian's wall, great full breakfast, friendly and helpful hostess, and great company from other guests at breakfast. The room was spotless and had many little extras. Good little drinks and snacks, great shower room, vaulted ceilings, chickens, sheep, menus from local restaurants and pubs, maps and books for use, great linens. No skimping here. Just a great place to stay. We stayed two nights.
