We booked this on the strength of a wonderful website and 4 diamond ratings from Visit England (at its worst) .com !!!
Inital impressions "ideal for horses but NOT humans or vehicles" where do vehicles for 12+ rooms park??
Dirty rooms, Edwardian worn out furniture, sparse hospitality, minimal full breakfast (take a microscope to view the micro sausages) !!
The shower was a delight to behold....the various hues of green, blue and brown mould....a bucket would have been cleaner.
No fresh towels in the room !!
Evening meals were possibly excellent but not taken as they were vastly overpriced....the local pub was far warmer, cleaner , cheaper and friendlier.
Pity anyone camping in the Inidan type teepee tents.
The prices charged were an absolute joke....where was the drying room, the bus service to and from Hadrians Wall, the cake on arrival....... where was the vacuum cleaner for the grey carpets and the stain remover....where were Kim and Agie !!!!
In one word this was a "rip off"......don't ever go here unless you want a germ laden , cold and damp experience.
Visit England.com have been contacted.....
We had booked for several nights ....we managed one nights stay and have never left a place so fast ......70mph in first gear up the mud ravaged lane....just to escape !!!
Maybe we should re-name this hovel ...[--] Rigg FarmMore
