If you love Horrible Histories. What to entertain your children, are a school looking for a unique experience in history that will last for years and engage every child. This is the place to come.
Don't believe me... come for yourself and enjoy interacting with the villagers.

Went with kids aged under 10. Both found it interesting. The team there are rightfully proud of what they've achieved. Educational and different

We visited Little Woodham expecting to spend a couple of hours here but ending up staying for 5 hours.
The villagers were very interesting to talk to whether in or out of character with their stories.
Their knowledge of the period was extensive for the time that Little Woodham is set.
It is a great place for families with children who can learn first hand what it would to be like to live and work in that time.
We will definately visit again.

If you have a free afternoon with children aged + then this is a wonderful insight into 17th century living. Set in 1642 the English civil war is just starting and it makes for an interesting topic of conversation

'Morning' I said to the man on the gate. 'Is it@ he replied, 'The nearest clock is at Winchester, or so I hear.' And so it continues as you walk around and talk to the lady who rund the alehouse, the spinster, the weaver, the potter, the wheelwright, that basket weaver and the blacksmith.

Find out how aspirin was discovered, how long an apprenticeship lasted, what they had for lunch, the three different strengths of beer and much more.

I could have stayed all day but my nine year old daughter managed 2.5 hours.

The village is very tucked away in Rowner, Gosport and access is through a housing estate which is currently being rebuilt. Car parking is available for free. Check opening times as opening is very limited or for groups by prior appointment. The attraction is set in the woods so the ground is uneven but access for disabled people was largely available.
