As a huge fan of Pebbles Bed and Breakfast when I heard that Richard and Deborah were now offering a self-catered apartment, I couldn’t wait to try it out and I was definitely not disappointed. With all the seaside charm of the B&B, the apartment is beautifully presented, with ample room and a cosy atmosphere.
The kitchen is extremely well stocked with all the cooking utensils you could wish for, as well as a washing machine and dishwasher and there’s even a kitchen table with views out to the beach! The living room is divine, with floor to ceiling views out onto the beautiful Devon coastline and with a comfy big sofa there is honestly not a more tranquil place I’ve ever been. Even in December weather it’s great to open the doors and peer out over the beach and you can even see the B&B (at a stretch!)
With the main house being so close by, I could park my car on the drive and Richard met me to take me on the short walk to the apartment, with a slice of Deborah’s mouth-watering lemon drizzle cake in hand. Deborah and Richard were on hand throughout the stay and as ever, I had a warm welcome and was made to feel straight at home in this perfect little hide away.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay in Budleigh Salterton and are already a fan of the B&B you have to try the apartment, I could sit in that living room, looking out to sea forever! Can’t wait for my next visit!
