“Quirky but fabulous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

We have been staying at this hotel regularly for the last few years and it has been getting better every year with their renovations - so much so that it is now quite difficult to get a room in the summer. Small but perfectly formed standard rooms all with a balcony to sit out on. Suites have much larger terraces. Great views and a good breeze on the rooftop terrace. New notices this year asking you not to hog the sunbeds when you are not on them - really good idea. Breakfast is delicious with lovely service and lunch/dinner also popular with lovely food and sometimes some good live music. Fantastic to be able to walk into the Port so easily. Do not tell too many people about this gem!!!

My husband and I have stayed here three times over the last ten years, our visit this year is the first time since it was renovated and I must say the property is stunning. They have given it a contemporary make over and it's fab. The rooms have everything you need but bear in mind they are fairly small (if go for a standard room) however they all have terraces which is so lovely as have great views of harbour even if you in the back of the villa. The suites are beautiful so if you want more space and can afford more luxury then go for it! The poo is small but still decent sized to do a few leisurely lengths, they could do with a few more sunloungers as there always seemed to be someone who couldn't get one so you do see the awful towels out display in the morning which I find frustrating!
Breakfast is very nice, although cereal selection is very poor, great fruit, meats, cheeses, breads, delicious croissants and all the normal cooked items on request.
The restaurant seems very popular but with fantastic restaurants like Layn (have the such good value set meal here) and Rocamar I suggest you leave the hotel for dinner and Cappuchino down the road does a fairly good value club sandwich for lunch.
If stay in five star hotels a lot, you will know this is four stars but it's stunning all the same. Don't know why it isn't top of the hotel list for Andrax as it certainly is the best.
I wish I could sit on my balcony there forever! Will def come again.
Ps if you can't do stairs then don't come here!

My wife and i were married at the Villa Italia. I will say right now the location and beauty of the venue is amazing. Marta and Alfonso took care of everything we needed and the orgnisation was a breeze. The staff were attentive for the entire duration of our celebration and we could all just relax and enjoy the surroundings and the day.

The food served to our guests was phenomenal, and our family are still raving about how tasty well presented the food was. Our day was topped off with complimetary bottles of wine for us and our remianing guests courtesy of the fine staff and management, and exclusive use of the terrace for the late evening.

The rooms are one of a kind as you would expect from a boutique hotel and very well presented. We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Italia and would not heistate to recommend this venue to anyone.

I find it hard to understand the negative reviews of Villa Italia. It has so many things going for it. First, it is in a great location with wonderful views over the Port and within easy walking distance of the bars, restaurants and shops. Secondly, the staff are great and Marta is an absolute star. Thirdly, even the smaller rooms at the back are clean and very comfortable but you will get a bath or a shower so make your wishes clear. I think this is a good value, really enjoyable hotel for four or five nights.

A very relaxing and stylish hotel. We stayed there for 5 days and really liked the overall layout (although not good for those with walking difficulties/small children due to stairs). Great staff and high quality restaurant and bar area. Sunday lunch was particularly impressive and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a sunday lunch destination whilst in the area.

Lovely small hotel in one of Majorca's top spots. Beautifully decorated rooms (we stayed in the old house with full harbour views) at reasonable prices. The hotel has views that will make it hard for you to leave your breakfast table. The staff are ultra-friendly and create a very welcoming atmosphere. We stayed with 2 small kids and never felt out of place (the hotel and the guests are very fashionable and similar hotels can be a little cool towards small children).
The pool area is small but we always found a sun lounger. There is no beach but the hotel has its own little bathing spot off the rocks directly opposite of the hotel entrance.
The food is always excellent, the lunch offer is incredible value-for-money. The a-la-carte menu for dinner is at a price level that you would expect in such a location but the quality is divine. Ask for wine recommendations as they have a great selection and a very knowledgeable sommelier.
Puerto d'Andratx's main promenade is just around the corner and offers a great selection of bars, restaurants and coffee shops (as far removed as it is possible from what you would experience in places like Magaluff).
Come for the breathtaking views and the stylish design and return because you are able to relax in a luxurious environment that feels more like a home than a hotel.

This stunning Mallorquin harbour is made all the more pretty by the 'castillo' style Hotel Villa Italia. The restaurant has the most breathtaking views of Puerto Andratx that one could hope for and the food is award winning and all I can say is that each plate served is as 'pretty as a picture.' Settled in a very quiet location, seagulls and swallows can be heard high overhead and the lulling, gentle sound of the sea, utterly blissful. I have stayed here many times over the years and I always come away feeling refreshed and just love everything about it.

Room Tip: Choose a 'corner suite' for more space and see more sun flood the room!
