We have just spent a week at the Hotel, we arrived in the middle of the night very tired and hungry after a 7 hour flight delay. The staff on reception were extremely welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful with taking heavy luggage upstairs. They even arranged much needed teas and coffees for everyone and something to eat.

Our rooms were at the back of the hotel, but having reading previous reviews, we were well prepared with ear plugs, although even they didn't work when the dustbins were emptied between 5am - 6am each morning ! As also reported, Tim's Wine Bar next door can be a little noisy late at night, but the noise is not excessive and it did not keep us awake.

The hotel room furnishings are a little jaded, but the rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfortable.

The breakfast each morning is buffet style and an absolute feast which caters for all tastes. - lovely crispy bacon and scrambled egg, toast, boiled eggs, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, selections of salami, cheese and freshly baked bread, croissants and freshly baked Majorcan pastries, as well as tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit juice.

We ate in the hotel restaurant situated across the road on the waterfront. The staff were excellent and very attentive. There was a good choice of menu and the food was excellent. The majority of main course meals in most of the waterfront restaurants cost E19 - E23.

On the whole a perfectly charming hotel with friendly, attentive staff, situated right on the waterfront. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Reception staff will call a taxi for longer journeys, although there is a regular bus service from the Port (5 minute walk) into Palma and St Elm.

The hotel is under new management and is to be renovated at the end of the season.

Stayed for a week during Easter break.Rooms slightly old fashioned but the new owners have plans. A/c has been fitted. The staff were fantastic and couldn't be more friendly and helpful.
The restaurant was expensive in comparison with others but the lobster we had was superb.
Had a room at the front which gives you fantastic views and sunsets. Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice. Loved the concrete sun terrace in the water and the staff even brought us blankets as it cooled down.
Now the only issue - the bar next door seems to stay open till all hours. Sussed it out by buying ear plugs and slept like babies!
It would be a pity if it stopped you going cos it really is in a wonderful place and position.
Went on the bus to St.Elm - lovely bay and beach. Long trip to Palma on bus too.
Loved the fresh fish restaurant called D'andrentos and cheap food round the corner at Copas and something!

Room Tip: Pay extra for seaview

Unpretentious hotel sitting comfortably at the side of the harbour - although it feels more like a lake with the little ducks paddling between restaurants.
A stone stairway winds up from a small reception area. Rooms are spacious and adequately furnished. A little street runs in front of the hotel, leading to noise at night time. It is necessary to leave the sliding doors open as there isn't any a/c just a small fan.
Friendly staff. Breakfast on front terrace overlooking sea, a joy.

Room Tip: Request a room with a balcony on 4th floor.

We stayed here for 10 nights the room was basic but everything you needed was there, it was spotlessly cleaned every day. The view from your balcony was amazing i think the best view of any hotel in port andratx. If you wanted to lay in a lounger by the sea, eat dinner snacks
or fantastic fresh orange, the hotel owned a section of concrete jutting into the sea. you could also sit on comfy seats and have the most fantastic view of the sun set. When we left i cleverly left money hidden in the room, their honesty and speed in which the money was transferred was first rate. The hotel is under new ownership and over the winter is having a refit with new beds, air con and fridges in every room.
All in all a fantastic stay

Room Tip: Make sure you have sea view

Great and helpful stuff, nice view, nice village, great food. The hotel itself is a bit old-styled - but thanks to it it differs greatly from "chain" hotels and even in 21st century preserves its authentic spirit.
There is piano in the lobby - we were lucky to listen one of the guests playing! GREAT!!!!!

Overall, i had a great stay at this place. Having just read the previous reviews of this hotel (after i stayed there!), i guess it just emphasizes exactly how relative everyone's experience is.
My girlfriend and i spotted this hotel on our travels of the island and booked a room with sea view for a night in the middle of September. (note to other reviewers, the sea view is extra and you need to request it otherwise you'll spend the stay keeping an eye on your car in the carpark and listening to the noisy dog out back).
The hotel is fairly old fashioned, which suited us, i think it's been there for about 60 years or so and i can only assume that the old guy at the reception was there on opening day. He was friendly and courteous but through no fault of his own, absolutely useless at working at reception! Still, time will tell if he did indeed run my credit card 3 times as i suspect.
The room was basic but very clean, lovely hot shower, had a fantastic view of the port, unfortunately no A/C just a fan which was fine seeing as we weren't there during peak heat. We just slept with the balcony door open.
The hotel has it's own little sun deck right on the water, with sun beds and they even loaned us a couple of towels.
In the evening, there are several places at the waters edge to have a sundown beer or two. The sun sets right at the mouth of the port. The only downside to the nightlife was that there is an British run pub right in the middle of all bars and in true Brit fashion it had a contingent of noisy p##s heads (male and female) making enough noise for everyone to hear. I'm not sure if this is usual, as Port D'Andratx doesn't seem an obvious place for Brit's to go on the lash.
The breakfast was included in the price, and was fine. If you're after a full English then forget about it, but they did have some scrambled eggs and bacon.
In summary, if we didn't have a room with a lovely view of the harbour then it would've just been a mediocre visit. But sitting on our balcony watching the sun set with a bottle of wine made it well worth it.

Worst thing about our stay ......... we were given a room at the back of the hotel overlooking a carpark. There was a dog shut out on a balcony on the other side of the street and it kept us awake most of the night. The walls were paper thin and you could hear every single bit of conversation in the next room.
The room itself was clean but basic.
No air conditioning but we were given a fan.
Buffet breakfast was fine, plenty of choice and it was nice to sit overlooking the sea whilst eating. Staff were polite.
Area is lovely, but very expensive. Loads of millionaire's yachts in the harbour and some gorgeous villa's. You may find it difficult to find places to eat on a budget.
