Pepe has moved the restaunt to his large house at CALLE DUENDE 5, TRASERAS, PLAZA DE YOROS, 21200, near the bullring and renamed it EL PODIGO. Still with the same staff and menu but now you have a view to the castle if you decide to eat outside. Plenty of street parking available making getting there not a problem. The smaller restaurent area gives a more personal atmosphere than his previous location. Still one of the best places to eat at a reasonable price for good quality food

The owner, Pepe, uses only the best ingredients and if the quality is not upto his standard then that dish will not be available on the menu. It is situated on the road to Alajar on the edge of Aracena the main town in the Sierra. Try his presa al jerez, pork cooked in sherry, with bollos de patatas, a purree of peppers, onions, tomatoes that I never found anywhere else in Spain. Locals use the bar and restaurant which shows the value is good. His jamon is the best quality and more expensive than other places that will not sell as much jamon as Pepe hence use lower quality cuts. His tapas are made to order so no selection on the counter as with standard bars. When you order a drink you will get a dish of olives which have been marinated in Pepe's own recipe and have a taste unique to this place, you can buy a large jar for 7 euros if you give a days notice. All in all one of the best places to have a good quality meal at a reasonable cost.
