“If You Don't Go --- It Is Your Loss”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

Do not waste time reading all the outstanding reviews, just go there then add your own. There are certain places where you just have to visit and this is definitely one of them. Aracena is a beautiful village and there are many things to do, the top 2 things in my opinion are stay at La Casa Noble and dine at Melanies favourite restaurant in nearby Lanares, everything else is a bonus. The reviews say it all and it is difficult to actually praise any higher. The Scots are renowned world wide for their welcome, hospitality and friendliness but, no matter where you travel you will find no better than the welcome and pampering by the girl from Oz in this Spanish Mountain Village. Thanks for taking care of us Melanie. Frank & Edna

Room Tip: It will not matter where you rest your head, just enjoy.

This little gem is a must for anyone touring Andalucia. Just one hour from Seville, Melanie (the host) has created a gracious retreat, beautifully decorated with attention to every possible detail. The hotel welcomes you with frescoes and tiles, wrought iron bannisters, paintings and cosy rooms. Melanie ensures you enjoy the very best of the village and the picturesque surroundings by sharing her first hand knowledge of local attractions and the most-frequented eateries. Not that one needs a lot to eat after Melanie's tantalising breakfasts and tasty tapas in the evenings. My room Castillo had glorious views of Aracena's pretty white houses, the castle and cathedral. Castillo provided the comfort of excellent bedding, Egyptian linen and five-star bathroom toiletries. La Casa Noble's bar is the ideal place to meet with locals whilst enjoying an authentic mojito, or two. I stayed for eight nights over the 2013 Semana Santa Easter festivities and felt I needed more time at La Casa Noble in order to get to know Aracena and its special place in Andalucia.

Room Tip: All rooms are charming. I found it hard to choose.

Thanks so much for taking the time to let people know about our little corner of Spain - it is always fabulous to hear that we are as enchanting as the better known must sees such as Barcelona, Granada, Sevilla etc. It was a fabulous time to be here and I am so glad that you got to see the Easter Thursday processions from the castle church - its hard not to be swept away by the 'Spanishness' of it all. I am glad you enjoyed the mojitos also . . . Thanks for choosing to stay for an extended period of time to really be able to enjoy the sierras of Aracena. Until the next time - Happy Travelling! Cheers Melanie

We have just arrived back after a weeks stay at La Casa Noble. What a find! From the minute we arrived, Melanie made us feel so welcome we left feeling like part of the family! The house is spotless and beautifully decorated and the attention to detail is second to none. We stayed in the Nobleza room which was beautifully decorated with a bed so big you had to climb into it! There is a terrace with a beautiful view of the town

This is not like a hotel, your stay is personalized to your taste, and Melanie is happy to arrange anything that you would like to do including walks, tours etc. and in our case she arranged tickets to see Sevilla play Athletico Madrid and arranged an afternoon at a restaurant in another village and for the restaurant owner to bring us home! She even took us out to dinner and out for breakfast one day to try a local delicacy! Tapas on the terrace (cooked by Melanie) was also delightful. The terrace has a beautiful view over the town

The staff at the hotel were all lovely, including Laura who served our breakfast and David who runs the bar (another great place and where we spent quite a few hours…) and again all made us feel so welcome. It was also good to meet Melanie’s mum and sister.

Arecena is a beautiful place, and very Spanish! It took us a couple of days to get into the Spanish way of life (including siesta), but once we did, we didn’t want to come home!

Many thanks to Melanie who made our stay so special. I would definitely recommend a stay at La Casa Noble if you want a real Spanish experience with excellent hospitality and accommodation.

You guys were fabulous guests - not hard to play happy hostess when you are having so much fun. The pleasure was all mine ( and Mums and Christines as well). Thanks for taking the time to write the review. It is always very satisfying to read (hear) that the whole team is providing the type of service that we are striving to achieve. So glad that there are no regrets over choosing to go a little off the beaten track and explore a lesser known corner of Spain. Until next time - Happy Trails!
Cheers, Melanie

We spent five nights here and loved every moment of it. The hotel is amazing, with original tiles and frescos, a big, comfortable, relaxing bedroom with gorgeous Molten Brown toiletries, a cozy fire in the living room at night, and delicious breakfasts to wake up to. Melanie the owner was fantastic, giving us brilliant tips of where to eat in the evening and highlighting the local delicacies, going out of her way to be helpful, for example photocopying walks for us so we didn't have to take the whole book. Melanie was so welcoming and friendly, we felt like we really got to know her and her sister, and one of the days they invited us to take a hike with their friends in the countryside and go for a meal with them - it was a fantastic, hilarious and unforgettable day! Aracena and the surrounding countryside was a kaleidoscope of wild flowers, with picturesque white-washed villages surrounded by rolling green hills. Great food, great scenery, great company, and tinto con limon - what more could anyone ask for?

What a fab time we had with you guys too - I love it when people come as clients and leave as friends. It was our pleasure to have you guys come with on the walk and lunch (and I especially appreciate your editing here) ha ha.
I can't take all the credit - the Sierras put its best foot forward and was truly gorgeous - and clearly my sisters razor wit and sunny disposition helped to create the mood.
Thanks too for the photos that you posted on Facebook - they were excellent.
Catch you guys sooner rather than later I hope - Sending sunshine from Spain. Melanie

From the very moment we made our reservation, owner and host, Melanie went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Emailed directions, assistance with car parking, accompanying us to a good local restaurant, watching the local easter holy week procession, all of this and more, and all provided with a smile and good natured humour.
The hotel itself has been beautifully renovated, the rooms are spacious, well lit and very comfortable. Bed, linen and bathroom are all superb. We had elected to take the full "package" and can recommend that to other guests. The tapas and cooked breakfast were very good indeed.
Our only regret was that we had only planned for one night. In hindsight, we should have liked to stay longer, using La Casa Noble as a base for visiting the surrounding area. (It is only 1.5 hrs from Seville)
In short, we absolutely loved this place. Thanks Melanie, for a wonderful time!

Room Tip: The Castillo suite is wonderful and has a great view over the town.

You really should have stayed longer . . . Christine and I both missed you when you guys left. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experiences - As it turned out you caught one of the few Easter processions that went out (running back early to get out of the rain not withstanding).
It means a lot that you enjoyed the tapas . . . you came with high standards and expectations - I am glad we met them.
Hope to catch you guys again somewhere in your voyage around the globe - the world certainly is a small small place. Thanks for coming - great knowing you both! Melanie

Having read the reviews we expected it to be good, but it was great. We stayed for two nights in mid March. We had wonderful hospitality in a beautiful house lovingly restored and two hughly enjoyable evenings spent enjoying the owner's tapas and wine in the sitting room with the other guests. We had a lovely lovely time.

I am so pleased that you chose to join us for the Tapas at Twilight - they were definitely some fun evenings in front of the fireplace and thanks for taking the time to let other travellers know what you enjoyed most about your stay. We strive to maintain a high standard, and we know that the pressure is on to make sure we meet the expectations of each of our guests - I am thrilled that we not only met, but exceeded those expectations.
Thanks for making the evenings so much fun.
Cheers, Melanie

The first decision that you are faced with when making a reservation with La Casa Noble is between B&B or "The Full Package" including gourmet breakfast and evening Tapas and concierge services.
Deciding to take The Full Package was the best decision we made.
The title of the review is "The Magical Mystery Tour" the phrase Magical Mystery Tour describes wonderfully the four nights we enjoyed at La Casa Noble.
From the moment we arrived our host Melanie made it her business to make sure our stay was the best possible.
Her detailed knowledge of local attractions and restaurants is second to none. Do not be afraid, take her recommendations.
Melanie booked four lunchtime meals at different restaurants to suit our intended travels, all were fantastic, allowing us to sample some of the best food we have eaten anywhere.
All this, then evening Tapas with wine in the cosy lounge with Melanie, lots of laughter and super tasty Tapas.
We stayed in the Castillo suite with views over Aracena to the Castille. Real quality......the attention to detail throughout really shows. The bed was one of the most comfortable imaginable.
The next morning enjoy your personalised breakfast.....freshly prepared........delicious.
Later in the evening make sure to wander downstairs to the bar that is part of the establishment, Davide the barman will make you welcome and at home, a perfect place to relax and end the day.
If at all possible reader....take "The Magical Mystery Tour" you will not regret it

Room Tip: Castillo has the panoramic views.

I love the title of your review!! Thats classic. So thrilled that you took the time to share your experience with (hopefully) future travellers to the area. I had a brilliant time with you guys - it can hardly be considered work when you are having that much fun though. Thanks to you both for your super positive out look on everything and your willingness to go with the suggestions and truly explore the lesser known nooks and crannies of the region.
I shall pass on the comments to David in the bar also - he was quite depressed when you guys left.
Until next time our paths cross - and I for one hope they do - thanks a million and a big Whey Aye Man from all of us at La Casa Noble!!
Cheers Melanie xx
