This is a nice historical hotel very well located in the old village of Alcochete in the south of Lisbon. Typical, pretty, charming welcome, we were offered an orange juice and cake. Comfortable beds and clean room. The breakfast was ok. But everything is far from perfect. We were there in February, heating was provided by an inverter air conditioning in the living room, at the top of the wall. Our apartment was equipped with a mezzanine bedroom and all the heat went up the mezzanine. As a result, it was cold in the living room and much too hot in the mezzanine. But the most terrible was the wood stove. We did not use ours and despite that we were smoked by that of the next room : the chimney was common to both rooms and the smoke came to us through our stove. The neighbors had to stop making fire. It took several hours for their fire to extinct and to get rid of smoke. We were probably also sharing the same boiler as the next morning we came short of hot water. You have to know also that in the evening there is no service and no one at the reception.More
