Rustic and charming hotel situated close to Lisbon just over the Vasco da Gama Bridge.
The building the hotel is occupying is the old summer residence of the king of Portugal. Everything is kept in style and you won't find a more interesting place to stay anywhere near.
Very friendly staff and an absolutely wonderful breakfast served in the old wine cellar.
Great and reasonably priced place to stay for birding the area or discovering Lisboa. Cannot recommend this enough.

A Quinta with rooms off a main courtyard. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well decorated. The property has gardens that are pretty. The breakfast is delicious and the woman who works in the breakfast restaurant is wonderful and very helpful. Free wifi in rooms.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights when on a birdwatching trip. Great atmosphere and history. Breakfast served in the wine cellar of Portuguese king. The hotel also had a 2 acre garden with beautiful flowers, fruit trees and a pool.

The buildings are a combination of farm, wine cellars and house that dates back hundreds of years. So, it has charm, pleasant grounds and peace. However the interiors are well kept and have excellent facilities.
Great views across to Lisbon and the grounds provide a pleasant stroll. Decent restaurants nearby. Breakfast was very good with freshly squeezed fruit juices.
For birdwatchers it is a great location for touring the Tagus estuary.
I would be happy to stay here again.

Room tip: rooms on the west side overlook the garden.
