“always make a reservation in summer, bring”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

during summer nights always book before and bring an extra credit card :-) mandatory to bring with your insect repellent due to proximity of rice fields (it's an ex-libris of the restaurant don't worry but don't stay at night in the "esplanada", outside main room). All rice dishes recommended

“Nice restaurant with expensive food”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

If you are in Comporta probably someone will suggest this restaurant which is a favorite of all the posh and rich people who spend their holidays here.
There are only top cars at the front indicating the kind of customers that stop here. The prices match the customers!
The place looks very nice and service is professional but not warm.
The food was somewhat of a disappointment. We tried several entrées which were just average but costed over 8€ each. The main dish tried was a fish rice that tasted of an herb with the rest of the ingredients completely subdued. The desert chosen (Encharcada) was one of the worst I tried ever.
In the end we paid over 100€ for two adults and 3 children and we all ate the rice portion made for two.

“Great fodd but a bit expensive”
Reviewed December 6, 2011

Great reataurant with a gret view over the rice fields. We had a razor clams rice that was perfect a great sparkling wine sangria coffe and dessert. Good food but the service could be a litle bit better. In the end around 70 euros for a meal wasn't the best price.

“nice restaurant in Comporta”
Reviewed August 23, 2011

The service was a bit too slow but there was a concert in the winery next to the restaurant, so plenty of people. Good wine list, typical dishes. My wife felt like a CATAPLANA, that was good. At the table someone had ARROZ DE PATO (duck rice), very good stuff! Try to choose a dish with rice, as rice is a local speciality. Nice people there, well dressed. A quite trendy place, not cheap, but I guess a "must do" when you're in Comporta.
