We stayed in the Dragsvik Fjord hotel in Sept. The views are fabulous, and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Love the water pressure in the shower. The restaurant was very nice also, as well as the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. It is right next to the ferry to Vangsnes, where it is a short drive through the charming village of Vik to the Hopperstad stave church. It is about a 10 minute drive to Balestrand, where some ferrys dock, so if you are coming by ferry & expecting to walk to the hotel, double check the location as you pretty much need a car to stay at the Dragsvik hotel.

A norwegian fjord tour can be very busi and the hotel also. It was a big surprise to find the Dragsvik Fjordhotel in a great and quite location a short drive or bus trip from Badestrand jetty, in the middle of nature, with a nice garden, with hiking trails, a fantastic view to two fjords and a glacier from the balcony, with stars in the night, with good and fresh seafood and a fully breakfast with a long buffet, all delicatessen and a good coffee.

Room Tip: Ask for room on the top floor in the attic with balcony

We felt so lucky to have found the Dragsvik Fjordhotell - the location was simply gorgeous on the peninsula with Fjord views in both directions. To be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery without being surrounded by tourists was such a bonus. We were so glad that we weren't staying in either Flam or Balestrand ! The hotel is family run and Magnar was so helpful. Breakfast choices were good and both our rooms enjoyed spectacular views and were clean and spacious. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy nature away from the masses.

This is a lovely little hotel for a stop off in Balestrand. The view from the room is fantastic (you can just about see the glacier) and the breakfast was great. We used the free bikes to go on a cycle, which is a great convenience. The staff were very friendly and we would definitely recommend staying there.

The Dragsvik Fjordhotell was a short drive from Balestrand and very much worth the drive. Sitting on a peninsula, the property has views up and down the fjord. Our room, above the entrance was a suite with a balcony porch looking toward Balestrand. The views from the dining room look up the fjord. Breakfasts were fine! We enjoyed the evening meals of seafood and a real treat, reindeer. The staff was very helpful. Location, location, location. From Dragsvik, we travelled via highway to several popular attractions, including the Gaularfjellet drive featuring amazing waterfalls along the way.... a must see.

Room Tip: Every room has a view of the fjord. Very comfortable!
