Situated just outside the square past Sarteano's only set of traffic lights is this basic and little outdated restaurant. There is a tiny 'outdoor' area with plastic tables/chairs. Inside is more traditional, but again basic as in so many Italian restaurants round here.
The food was served quickly but everything was far too salty for our tastes. Its the only place I have seen locally that serves chips - so if that's a requirement for your children you will be happy here! I think mine welcomed it as a change to a fortnight of pasta!
Dishes range from some of the traditional local pastas and main courses (rabbit/wild boar beef meatballs) to very large pizzas - not the bast we have had in the area, but at least it came quickly!!
On the drinks front they had a good selection of beers including some really unusual local brews (pricey at €12 a bottle) and some higher quality versions of the popular Moretti. Wine choice was fair and the carafe of house wine we went for was surprisingly quaffable! Worth a trip if you need a change of scene and/or a lower cost option to other local establishments.
