Pieve di Caminino Historic Farm
Reviewed July 7, 2012

We did a 15-day long journey from Torino to Neaples and we wanted to spend only some days in Tuscany. Unfortunately for some days but those 3 days at Caminino are still recalled. The Loft was clean, well furnished I loved the old furniture, was like getting back in time-it is a calm and charming place. A perfect place for a get away.So we decided to go back for a longer time in autumn time.

The best way I can describe our 6 days at Pieve di Caminino would be to think if your favorite cousin had a Tuscan farm and invited you for the week. Just a spectacular experience for our first trip to Italy! While in Florence and Rome our conversation would always go back to our week in Caminino. Wonderful day trips to small Medieval towns with great local food. If you want a true Italian countryside experience this is it!
Now back in NC we constantly speak of our time on the terrace of the Romito apt enjoying a bottle of wine and doing nothing other than taking in the view....

Room Tip: Listen to Emy's recommendations for day trips and restaurants. Spot on with everything! And wh...

If you want peace tranquility and surrounding beauty wherever you look this is for you. We went with friends shared a 2 bedroom suite cooked in the charming kitchen and had everything we needed. My bed was comfy rooms were clean. Emy, was as helpful and welcoming as you would want any Host to be! He organized a driver to pick us up from Bologna and I was elated! The drive was beautiful and I could enjoy the countryside instead of having to navigate my way around. The surrounding towns are just magnificent. I will never forget the gates opening up to let you in to this quiet getaway! Just go!

After 9 months of planning this childhood girlfriend reunion we arrived to the welcoming ambiance of Pieve di Caminino! Our hosts - Emy, his parents, Nandeg (?) and Allegra made us feel like we were family coming home. Our 2 bedroom apartment was filled with antiques and sooo cozy! The bathroom was totally updated and modern. The views from our windows were the typical Tuscan image: vineyards, olive trees and rolling hills. Ahhh...pure peace! Thank you for setting the tone for a perfect vacation getaway!

Room Tip: Each apartment is different and unique; no bad choice!

My firends and I planned this trip more than 9 months ago. We waited along time to get here, and it was worth the wait. Emy, one of the owners along with his Mom and Dad were the host of all hosts. Hospitality reigns, in this family. I felt at home and Emy was so helpful before our trip as well as after. The Farm has a beautiful rustic charm. It is a great place to go for peace and quiet. If you enjoy the outdoors, and you love authentic old charm (the Italian way) Hotel di Pieve Caminino is for you. Make sure you take Emy's advice on where to dine locally, he knows what he's talking about! If you are reading this Emy, wish I was there, thanks for helping to make our vacation GREAT!! Amy R.

There is nothing I can add to the great reviews this place already has.
What I can underline:
1)      good value for money
2)     great location to explore Southern Tuscany
3)      romantic - friendly - informal atmosphere
On arrival I got an upgrade to a lovely suite with original canopy bed, and I was the first to take a bath in the pool in 2012 (pool opening is seasonal, this year was 2nd of June). Internet access was free and assistance by Emy was always a pleasure.
Ciao, grazie mille

Room Tip: If you are a cigar smoker, take Foresteria: great outdoor private space
