Wonderful food, ambiance and views over Chianti in this restaurant attached to the winery/hotel. Max, the owner, is charming and attentive to your every need whether about food or the local area. Not to be missed if you are in the area

We visited Rocca during a driving tour of the Tuscan countryside. We are so glad that our guide knew about this place, because the setting is exquisitely beautiful, intimate, cozy, happy, and inviting and the wine tasting was absolutely spectacular! Christina and Esther are so welcoming, hospitable, knowledgeable, and friendly. We tasted a wide array of wines, naturally got little tipsy, and purchased many bottles to ship home (and some to take back to our hotel). So glad we did get a little tipsy (especially given that we had a driver), because we may not have shipped as many delicious bottles home had we not been! The olive oil is so flavorful (shipped that home as well). We also tasted the best dessert wine we've ever had here. Hopefully we'll be able to visit again some day, but if not, we've been lucky enough to find some of the wines in the states and found out we can order online as well. Hope to be back, but if not, will cherish the memory always!

We had a great time here! The lady who did the tasting for us was very nice and informative. We got to try some great wines, including the vin santo. That is excellent and we got a bottle to bring back to the states with us! We also got a tour of the winery which was great as well!

We were given a complimentary wine tasting here by our hotel hostess. We live near the Napa Valley area of California so have had many wine tasting experiences. This one was like no other. We were welcomed by lovely Christina who gave us a tour of the wine storing facilities. She then took us to a table in their beautiful tasting room which overlooked the vineyards. We were given a basket of the the most delicious salted cracker bread and a plate of bread with their olive oil (which was fantastic). We tasted no less than 15-18 wines with a detailed explanation of each wine. Christina was so friendly and knowledgeable. She really made the experience so special. We shipped 6 bottles back to the states and she gave us a bottle to take with us. We have told everyone what an amazing experience this was. It was probably our favorite day of our 15 day Italian honeymoon. We will certainly return to this place again and will certainly hope to see Christina again.

My wife and I were driving around the Chianti Classico region and wanted to visit a few wineries, being a Sunday, most of them were closed, luck for us not Rocca di Castalogni!
We were greeted by Barbara and asked about some wine tasting. We were then taken in our own private tour of the winery and cellar and educated further on the chianti Classico and how it's made, along with many other wine varieties including the process of producing the sweeter Vin Santo (dessert wine). There after we were waited by Barbara again giving us plenty if time to taste a number of wines they had on offer, we were that impressed by the wines that we purchased 6 x bottles they arranged to have them sent to Australia at the best price! After finishing, Barbara was kind enough to present us with a bottle of our favorite wine of the day as a gift for our honeymoon! Such a thoughtful gesture a d made this one of the most humbling experiences we've had on our 3 month journey... So we thank Rocca di Castologni for great service and even better wine!!
