Owner description: The Castello di Meleto is in the center of an ideal geographical triangle formed by the cities of Siena, Florence and Arezzo. Surrounded by six beautiful houses, painstakingly restored in 2000, preserving its rustic Tuscan style. Each house has a private garden or terrace that overlooks the countryside surrounded by green vineyards and olive groves. In the basement of the castle, a real historical monument, a charming wine shop allows you to taste our wines, our organic extra virgin olive oil and salami of Cinta Senese from our farm. In addition, daily guided tours of the ground floor of the castle, the eighteenth-century theater, the dungeons with ancient cellars, prisons and the secret tunnel to escape from the Castle .. will make you to live an unique and unforgettable experience in a real castle in the Chianti area.

The region is full of great castle and winery, but this one deserves a stop...
If not the cheapest option, you will certainly leave that place with at least one or two bottles in your bags !

We stumbled upon Castello di Meleto almost by chance. What a fab place. We explored the wine shop, having tastings, a snack and purchasing some wine, oil and other bits and also walked round the outside of the castle. Will definitely go back for the full tour of the castle and would love to stay as it looked fantastic. I would say a definite must if you are in the Chianti region

My husband and I got married at Castello di Meleto back in June of this year and had the most amazing time ever. All of our guests stayed at the castle and were blown away by how beautiful both the castle and it's surroundings were. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Katia who helped to make our day so special. The views are just breathtaking and the wine tasting was fantastic! We would recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue or simply a break away to unwind. We will certainly being going back

Castello Di Meleto is an impressive property that sits in the middle of the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. It's a beautiful 13th Century property that's been updated to the 21st Century while maintaining its ancient imprint. Anthony Freveletti, the General Manager of the property, serves as the tour guide, and gives a great presentation relative to the history of the property, the vineyards, and the overall operation of Castello Di Meleto. His presentation is followed by a wine tasting, in which he presents the wines, and in our case included an Italian lunch, i.e., midday meal that was excellent. If you're going to be in Tuscany and the Chianti Classico region, you don't want to miss the opportunity to visit Castello Di Meleto.
