“Our favorite wine tasting, great value”
Reviewed October 21, 2009

My wife & I recently returned from a stay in Chianti, and while we were there enjoyed a most memorable experience at PoggioAntinora. It was more than just a wine tasting. They also press their own olive oil (which they sample as well), and they have a museum with a collection of artifacts detailing the family history at the winery, as well as the history of wine making from earlier days until today. For the actual wine tasting, we were seated on an outdoor patio as a selection of their wines were presented along with samples of meats and cheeses, even chocolate for the dessert wine. The host was great at explaining the wines and how they are made, and she answered all of our questions. We were a little disappointed we did not actually get to see the wine making and storage area of the winery, but overall this was a wonderful wine tasting experience.

“A must do! Delicious Wine and Olive Oil Tasting!”
Reviewed October 19, 2009

I spent time in Tuscany on my honeymoon and my husband and I really enjoyed our wine tasting and tour at Poggioantinora Winery! It was a beatiful winery sitting high above the most beautiful vineyards. In their museum we learned so much about olive oil making and the harvesting of the grapes for the wine! We went on 3 wine tastings during our time in Tuscany and this one was the best by far!
The host spoke great English, spent a lot of time with us talking and teaching us, and also provided delicious meats and cheeses to accompany our wonderful wines! She taught us so much about the region, and chianti wine--knowledge which we took with us the remainder of our trip as we drank wine in other parts of Tuscany and in restaurants!!

We highly recommend making this a stop on your Tuscan adventure!

“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed October 19, 2009

On our way to another tasting, we found this winery and scheduled a tour and tasting the following day. The museum was very interesting. Angela was a great tour guide. The wine is excellent, some of the best chianti's we drank during our week stay, and we drank a lot of different wines. The views are great, the tasting was great, and the gift store prices were very reasonable.

“What a treed”
Reviewed September 8, 2008

We just returned from our honeymoon in Tuscany. We had 3 wine tastings and this was the best. The tour of the winery and the museum set the mood right. The have a brilliant ideology going on at this winery, the name of their wines all have a deeper meaning. Their Desert wine is also something new, and we're looking forward to having people over to have some Chiacchiera. Their is also a restaurant in Radda in Chianti with the same name as the winery that is a "must" restaurant to eat at, the best pasta we had on our trip.

“Adorable Winery - Great Wine”
Reviewed July 5, 2008

During our stay in Tuscany, we enjoyed a wine tasting at Poggioantinora. It was wonderful. It began with a brief one on one tour in English of their little history of wine and olive oil museum with old photos and viewing of the tools used to make wine and olive oil many years ago. Following the tour, we tasted their new style Tuscan Red, a new style Chianti, a classic style Chianti, a dessert Chianti, and a delicious olive oil. All of the wines and oils are made by the winery, and they were all quite good. We also enjoyed a sampling of tuscan wine, cheese, and olives. Our tour guide was so nice and very knowledgeable about the wine and oil, the scenery was beautiful, wine and food was great, and the price was very reasonable. This is a great thing to do in Tuscany, and we highly recommend it!
