“Great location”

We've been there during 4 days in May living in "La Francigena" appartment. The appartment is very nicely decorated, has very large rooms for very comfortably accommodating a family of 4, is very well equipped and has a wonderful view on the Tuscan hills from the terrasse. The property itself is really charming with very nice facilities and a large swimming pool. Guido and his family did a real paradise of this place. That's definitely the place to stay if you want to live in a quiet and comfortable place and visit Tuscany.

A wonderful place to stay. The rooms are big, cool and well-decorated with the thick stone walls. With great views from the terrace or the poolside, surrounded by olive trees. We spent here only a 1 week along with one other couples in the 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage tucked into the hillside on this beautiful estate property. Guido was the perfect host ( 10 stars!!!. The view from terasse on San Giminiano absolutly phantastic. The local large town of Poggibonsi has all the supermarkets. Only short distance to Siena, Florence, and many small phantastic towns ( Vico d,Elsa, Barberino Val d,Elsa... ).

A wonderful place to stay.
The rooms are big, cool and well-decorated with the thick stone walls keeping the heat out during the day but just right at night. With great views from the terrace or the poolside, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards in the surrounding countryside, it is a lovely, peaceful location.

Central for the cities of Siena, Florence and San Gimignano only 16km away across the wide valley to the south west. The local large town of Poggibonsi has all the supermarkets and amenities you should need for you to stock up during your stay but there's a small supermarket closer to hand in Barberino Val d'Elsa. (The manager, Guido, could not have been more helpful and I would awarded him 6 stars if I could. Make it 7)

Absolutely tremendous value. Hopefully, we will return.

PS If you're really lucky, a local pair of cats will decide to be your friends too

Castello di Pastine was completely beautiful. We spent a week along with two other couples in the 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom cottage tucked into the hillside on this beautiful estate property. At every turn there was a beautiful vista, the accommodation was lovely and authentic, Guido was a charming and helpful host. Absolutely delightful.

It has been three years since our family of seven spent a week at Castello di Pastine. Guido was the perfect host. Towns close by were beautiful, friendly and so very clean. Quiet days walking nearby, swimming and even collect eggs for breakfast. Grandpa will always remember treasured time with three grand grandchildren.

Fantastic property with some of the best views in Tuscany literally on your doorstep, and perfectly situated for Florence, Siena and all the surrounding countryside. The accommodation itself is charmingly rustic, the swimming pool area is wonderfully modern and enormous, all this for very reasonable rates. Seriously, if you can book it you should.

Room Tip: 4d is perfect for a couple

My girlfriend and I stayed at Castello di Pastine last week. A perfect experience! We were welcomed by Guido after a long drive. Guido answered every question we had about our sightseeing trip into Siena and our plan for biking.
He gave us maps and advice for the rest of the days suggesting the right place to see. His maps were better than our GPS on my iPhone!
We were led to the mansarda, beautifully decorated in warm Tuscan colors. The view from the terrace was simply amazing!

After we settled in, Guido told us of a little deli nearby to get some food that we asked about. The dinner at "Il Paese dei Campanelli" was wonderful. We had appetizers, a delicious bistecca and we got a special Chianti wine. We could have stayed there forever.

The next day we experienced our first breakfast in the kitchen, It was lovely! After that the first bike ride: such a wonderful experience. Only few cars and a special sightseeing to Certaldo.

Val d'Elsa is our lovely place to stay and seeing the beautiful Tuscan hills just outside our terrace or from the wonderful garden would have sufficed, but these people, Guido and his family, greatly exceeded our expectations.

I've been several times in Toscana, and this is the only place I'II warmly recommend!
