“Great cooking class, great people!”

My friends and I did the cooking class with Patrizia and Massimo while staying at Castello della Paneretta and I cannot recommend this place enough! It was the highlight of my trip, Patrizia was a fantastic teacher and cook and we all really enjoyed the class and atmosphere. Patrizia not only teaches you how to cook Italian food but also tells you the stories and philosophy behind Italian cooking - this is the best cooking class that I have taken. I can't recommend this enough!

“The Time of Our Lives”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

Our Australian family of 5, with 3 children ages 12-15, participated in Patrizia and Massimo's cooking class late October, 2012. We could not have imagined how much fun we would have and how much we would learn.
On arriving at "Castello della Paneretta", Patrizia seated us down near the fire and passionately described her philosophy of preparing and enjoying food as a family. "Food is emotion", she said. She described the importance of eating foods that are in season and explained how to adapt the meals that we would be preparing to our local Australian produce. I was captivated from the start.
In the kitchen, Massimo -a genteel man and talented chef -then helped Patrizia teach us how to prepare bruschetta, ravioli, stuffed roast pork and tiramisu. With energy and enthusiasm, we all kneaded, chopped and laughed our way through our class. Food certainly was the source of some fabulous emotions.
After all our "hard" work, we were seated down in Patrizia and Massimo's dining room, where we were treated like family and served the feast we had help prepare. Patrizia charmed us with stories of her travels, her family and her country. Around us, walls were decorated with dozens of blue and white plates and dried flowers hung from the ceilings. Outside we could see views of the vineyard through the window. It was a perfect meal and a perfect day.
We cannot thank Patrizia and Massimo enough for their kindness and enthusiasm in welcoming us into their kitchen and their lives. It is a memory we will always treasure. Anyone who is lucky enough to visit Tuscany and be part of this experience, will savour it for a lifetime.

“Amazing cooking class”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2012

We have spent an entire week in Tuscany and this was definitely the highlight of the vacation.
Patrizia and Massimo - a sweet and friendly couple - treated us like family. We cooked together, learnt a lot not only about the Italian kitchen, but also about the philosophy behind this amazing food and of course - cooked together.
Spending a few hours with them in their home (which, after a couple of hours felt like our home) was a beautiful experience - one that we won't forget. A must have experience for travelers who want to feel the real Tuscany life!

“Outstanding Hospitality and wonderful hosts”

Patrizia and Massimo were terrific hosts. The cooking class was definitely the highlight of our Tuscany vacation. We felt totally at home and learned so much about Italian cooking and its meaning in Italian culture. Patricia taught us how to put love into the making of our food and how important it is to share it with family and friends. We would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to feel part of the family and learn how to be Italian for a day!!

we had the pleasure to meet Patrizia and Massimo during our stay in barberino. If you happen to be in the area you should definitely pass by. they do wine tasting as well, but spending few hours in the kitchen with them was a touching experience for the whole family. the place is incredible, the activity was fun for everyone and we ended up cooking and laughing along. Patrizia and Massimo are lovely people that mad a drastic change in their life 22 years ago, their agriturismo is one of the first in the area! I look forward to meet them again

Its a great idea as a surprise, a different night or a couple activity as well!

You just won't be disappointed!
