I had been to Locanda del Colonnello in the past, and thought it was a pleasant place with good food, but on my last visit to Modica during Easter week, I thought the food was quite delicious. The menu was traditional but more varied than many of the restaurants with Modican fare, and the selections really seemed to seasonal. For example, the antipasto frittata with wild asparagus reflected the springtime. The atmosphere, though not imaginative, is clean and casual without being kitsch. There were also interesting wine options. The crowd seemed to be a lively mix of tourists and locals.
