Our taxi driver Rafaelle recommended this local restaurant in the heart of Piano Di Sorrento. It is very utilitarian, in a store front setting. Don't be fooled by the plain look of the place, you will be greeted warmly. Our young-ish server spoke enough English to walk us through the menu. I noticed most of the locals were having pizza, which looked great. Kids are welcome, even infants. I had the Linguine with Clams and Mussels, fresh in the shell, in a white wine garlic broth, wonderful. Marilyn had Capillini pomodoro. A 1/2 carafe of red wine and Torta di Nonna (2 custard cups with separate chocolate cups) which rounded out the meal and was easy to share. There's no cover, so the bill came to only 20 euros total for a marvelous meal in a fun place with much conversing between us and the locals, both in our halting Italian and their fairly good English. A wonderful experience thanks to Rafaelle, taxi driver and guide extraordinaire. Try it, you'll like it.
