“Excellent apartment in a perfect location and great host”

My wife and i traveled to Piano for a weeks holiday and weren't fussed about staying in the center of Sorrento as there is so much to do in the surrounding area so this apartment was perfect. The roof terraces were amazing. Most evenings we sat with a drink after a busy down and watched the beautiful sunsets over the bay of Naples. The apartment is clean and comfortable with plenty of space and has everything you need. The host Franco was a pleasure to deal with and went out of his way to look after us and even came and picked us up a few miles down the road when the airport bus failed to stop. He also took us to Capri and showed us how to get the most out of the island and even left us a couple of yummy cakes on our last evening. The location is in a quiet village along from Sorrento but has plenty of 'local' restaurants within easy walking distance. There's a small beach too where we spent the day and relaxed with some nice seafront places to eat. The train station is less than 5 mins walk and this opens up the ability to visit everything you would want to in the local area. We visited Sorrento, Pompeii, Vesuvius and Herculaneum by train. From Sorrento we were also able to do a coach trip down the Amalfi coast. You can still enjoy an evening in Sorrento but just have to make sure you don't miss the last train home. What i would say is if you are looking for a quieter area to stay without the tourists this is perfect.

“A great find - lovely little apartment.”

We were met by Franco's friend Roberto in his car and before taking us to the apartment he very kindly gave us a quick tour of the town and sea front area.
We loved this apartment with all its terraces. One to sunbathe on - if you so wish, one to have breakfast on and one to sit on in the evening with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.
The apartment is near the train station to reach Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples.
It has a well equipped kitchen if you wish to self cater. we found local restaurant The Three Arches very good and reasonably priced.
Franco called round on our first evening to check all was well and kept in regular contact with us during our stay. He very kindly arranged to meet us at Pompeii on the Sunday to give us our own personal tour. This apartment is a tranquil retreat after hot and busy days sightseeing.

“Perfect location - great apartment with lots of outside space”
Reviewed June 16, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We agree with everything that other reviewers have said about this rental. It is well-equipped and well located. Every room is full of natural light and tastefully furnished. The huge bonus is the terraces - there are 3 - just perfect for a shady breakfast or watching the sun set over the sea. Piano is a lovely small towns with plenty of places to eat and St Agnello is just down the hill if you fancy a change. Franco was a perfect host and extremely helpful.

“Lovely place with a great view”
Reviewed May 1, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

My wife and I stayed at apartment for twelve days and just loved it. The apartment in located in a beautiful quiet town with many nice restaurants and is easily accessible to all the activities in the area. Train station is only a five minute walk. The place is spacious and nicely decorated. It has three balconies with a beautiful view of the mountains and the ocean. The sunsets from the balconies are just beautiful. Franco is a wonderful and gracious host. He is an independent travel guide and as a curtosuy helped us plan all the activities around the area. I definitely would recommend to work with him before planning any tours in the area. The apartment is clean, but the building was being renovated. So it was a little noisy and dusty. However when the work on the building is finished, it will be a lovely building and a great apartment. We would definitely stay there again next time we visit the area.

“Perfect Place to Stay”
Reviewed September 18, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

What a lovely apartment! In Piano in the outskirts of Sorrento this couldn't have been a better location. 5 min walk from the Circumvesuvian railway, then 2 stops to Sorrento with buses to the Almalfi coast from the station. The apartment itself was very comfortable, light and airy and what seemed like a balcony or terrace out of every door! Fabulous views over the rooftops to the sea and the Isle of Capri. Unbelievable sunsets. Franco could not have been more helpful. He met us in the centre of Piano and then kept in touch throughout to offer help and advice if needed. Piano itself is a friendly area served by a number of small restaurants offering really good food at a fraction of the prices in Sorrento. Great holiday!

“The Perfect Base to Explore the Wonderful Amalfi Coast”
Reviewed September 2, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Piano is a lovely quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento yet just 5 minutes away on the Circumvesuvian train – a few minutes walk from the apartment – and all directions including Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius but not to be recommended if travelling to/from Naples. The town itself contains a number of reasonably priced and recommendable places to eat and drink, good shopping, a lovely sea front and pleasant local walks.

The photos of this apartment do not do it justice with terraces at every turn and offering magnificent views in every direction – not least the awe inspiring Bay of Naples! The apartment is bright and airy, fully equipped throughout (including WiFi) and extremely comfortable. Being situated on the top/fourth floor, the terraces benefited from a slight cooling breeze in the steamy heat of August. Just one, and important, down side, the lift was not working for the first half of our stay and those 77 steps are a long climb! It was a great relief when repaired.

Franco is a charming host, visiting regularly to ensure our comfort, bringing pastries and advising on local sites, information, etc. (he is a tourist guide so perfectly placed). From the moment we made the booking he kept regularly in touch, arranged for us to be met from the bus (by far the easiest, most comfortable method of travel from/to Naples airport) as well as providing a mobile phone to contact him if necessary.

This apartment/location provided an ideal base to relax and explore the Amalfi coast, is reasonably priced and we would strongly recommend it if you are intending to visit the area.
