We stayed at Villa Maresca for 4 nights in early October 2012. Maria and her daughter Federica were the perfect hosts, their warm and friendly personalities making us feel very welcome. They were also prepared to do the little extra things that make a difference eg getting picked up and dropped off at the railway station, booking a cruise to Capri and then driving us to the wharf, waiting with us to ensure we got on the right boat, etc. Both were very helpful with tourist suggestions, and their advice was always spot-on. Our room was large with plenty of storage area, and direct access to 2 terraces, one with views of the mountains and the distant bay - a great place to relax after a hard day sightseeing. The villa is surrounded by lovely gardens and has its own orange grove and vege garden, with the fresh produce being used for breakfasts. Be aware of Federica's lovely home cooked cakes at breakfast - they are just too nice!
Piano di Sorrento may not have the same tourist profile as nearby Sorrento or the Amalfi, but it's an excellent base as it is on the train line and is easy access to Capri, Pompeii and the Amalfi. The train station is a 10-15 min walk, the local beach/wharf a 20 min walk, and its a 5 min walk to the main street, bus stop, shops, restaurants etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Words cannot express the emotions of going back to Italy and then to be staying at Villa Maresca. Maria is truly the best. Her love of the Neopolitan cooking shows in her wonderful breakfasts each day. Maresca is in driving distance to many cities and in walking distance to town, groceries, church. Her garden is spectacular and you can see the love that goes into her flowers, lemon orchid, kiwis, walnuts, olive trees. Everything is freshly made and coming home at night to a wonderful rest was just the greatest. Her whole family made us feel warm and inviting. Whatever you may need, just ask Maria and she did her best to make it happen. Eventhough we stayed one week, it was truly a fantastic way to start a vacation.

Four of us stayed at Villa Maresca this past September for one week. Maria was a perfect hostess. We had a delicious homemade breakfast each morning. Maria was so gracious and accomodating. She had good suggestions for dinners at local restaurants. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Great views from the terrace off our rooms.

We stayed at the villa maresca for four nights during mid September 2012. Federicca was lovely, friendly and very helpfull with usefull information and tips that helped make our stay great.
The room was beatifull and comfortable, breakfast was rich, fresh and tasty.
The villa is surrounded by a lovely garden where fruit and vegetable grow and are later served for breakfast.
The location allows easy access to Pompeii area, Positano, Amalfi Ravello etc.
We will surely return to Villa Naresca one day.

We had such a lovely stay with Maria - we could only stay for one night as we booked last minute and she was already fully booked for the other nights that we wanted to stay - as soon as we arrived we wanted to stay for days! We voted Maria the most wonderful host of all the B&B's that we stayed at during our 2 week trip of the Amalfi coast. The room was really nice but it was the location - nestled among the lemon groves that really made this place special. There is also a lovely terrace perfect for drinking prosecco and watching the sunset. The location is a little way from the local beach (10 minutes by bus) (and 15 minutes by bus from Sorrento). However, having stayed in Sorrento the following night we were pleased to have experienced the local beach and a more local restaurant - which was recommended by Maria - and the fresh seafood was amazing.

Maria certainly went above and beyond your average host - having complimented Maria on her beautiful colourful earings she then kindly arranged for her friend to make me a pair and get them delivered to the next hotel we were staying at in Sorrento!

Thank you so much! x

So lovely place and so kind people. A genuine italian place to be: Maria picked up us at the local train station with her oldfashioned fiat 500; she cooked us typical regional (and excellent!) cakes for the (huge) breakfast.
She was so helpful and gave precious indications about things to do and see.
Beautiful house with magic garden and very well located to visit the region.

In May 2012 my wife and I along with my parents and my brother and his wife spent 8 days at Villa Maresca. It was a wonderful experience. The accomodations were clean and comfortable. The hospitality was exceptional. The owners were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful to us. Even the neighbors and local merchants were friendly. For example, local farmers offered us free samples of their famous lemons and oranges. The breakfasts at Villa Maresca were overwhelming in size and taste. Much of the food was grown or raised on the Villa property. Fantastic! The location of the Villa was convenient as we toured the historical wonders of the area including Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplontis, Naples, Sorrento, the Amalfi coast and other sites. Our many thanks go to Maria, Enzo, Federica and Antonino for making our stay so wonderful. We highly recommend Villa Maresca to all.

Room Tip: All 3 rooms are good. Our family had all of them.
