“You Need to Go Here!”

I travel all over the world and stay in many different hotels, but this hotel is something special. Firstly the staff are amazing! Angelo, Gio, Luigi and infact everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I came on holiday with my grown up daughter and we have had the most fun time ever. Food, drinks and entertainment were outstanding. Thanks so much for all the warm Italian hospitality - we will be back! Ciao

Room Tip: Go for the rooms at the Occhio Marino annexe, with large patio areas facing the pool and sea

We stayed the last week of May.
We were welcomed outside the hotel by the Thomson rep and was straight away given a glass of bubbly! We were then taken up to the pool area for lunch, which is fantastic with a great choice of hot and cold dishes!
Our room was in the main building which I would recommend overlooking the gardens with a side sea view. The room was very modern and large with qualitiy furniture and a very large bed!!
Drinks and meals are all great and to be served your evening meal and be given a wine list in an all inclusive is a first for us!!
The best part of this hotel are the staff, they are all so friendly and just want to please you, nothing is too much trouble!!
Special mention to Angelo, Geo and Claire the entertainments girl!
We would certainly recommend this hotel as it was to us by 2 different people!
Just book it and enjoy!!!

We stayed here from 25/04/14 - 05/05/14, for a birthday celebration. Our transfer from the airport was longer than expected, but we were told it was a bank holiday weekend and the traffic was much heavier than it normally would be. The hotel is a short drive from Sorrento itself as others have stated, up in the hills. On arrival we were given a welcome drink and then taken to the pool area for lunch, which was buffet style with lots of choice. When the weather is good this is where lunch is served, but sadly we only managed lunch outdoors on one other occasion which was our last full day at the hotel. Yes, the weather for our stay was not the best, quite wet and cool for most of our 10 days, but we stilled loved our stay.

The staff are so very courteous and willing to help. We found all the staff went that extra mile and made our stay very memorable. A very nice touch was returning to our room on my birthday to find a lovely cake and champagne awaiting us! Thank you so much for that very nice gesture!

I can understand to some degree that due to the inclement weather people were spending a lot more time around the hotel reception areas , more so than they would have done normally. This wasn't a problem for us, we took advantage of chilling out, reading, chatting and doing what you should do for some of the time on your holiday- nothing!

There are so many reviews with very detailed information about the accommodation, food, drink and amenities, so we will not add more. We could not fault the Nastro Azzuro, it met our expectations and more. So, don't hesitate!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 324, which was a very decent size and well appointed in the main block. However...

Went to Sorrento in May 2014 and stayed at the Nastro Azzuro. Great start, went to reception with coach party of new arrivals and thought here we go, hassle waiting for keys etc. BUT oh no, reception took our names and the manager said bags will be waiting in rooms at our convenience. Cocktails were handed and a quick tour of stunning gardens and jacuzzis, then to pool side for a beautiful buffet with wine and champagne. A lovely welcome. Restaurant fantastic, staff superb (always smiling and remember your names and drinks) evening entertainment just right. A shuttle bus offers free transfers into Sorrento on the hour from 9 am to 11.25 (8 am bus euro 1.50 - cheap)
I have recommended the hotel to friends. Some people preferred to be in Sorrento and not up in hills as they would like the option for an evening wander. My husband felt the same. But you wouldnt get the views or the nice breeze in the town. Bus takes 15 mins, no problem and worth it just to stay at this lovely hotel. Couples and No kids, working at school made a lovely change.

Having returned yesterday I would echo all of the reviews below without anymore detail. The only things to point out are the 72 steps & steep slopes that get you around - not an issue if you are fully mobile but Thomson SHOULD make people aware of this in the brochure, its not the hotels fault. The pool was freezing! Having taken advice from a previous post about the horrendous coach transfers, we decided to pre-book a taxi transfer - don't bother! It cost us 220 Euros return - the coach arrived 10 mins after we did on arrival & the same going back to the airport! There was no hanging around in a 'holding' area as some other points suggest! Thomson must have got their act together a bit because we saw 2 reps around the hotel every single day! Only minus point for us was last Saturday night we were served raw chicken in the main restaurant. It went straight back & we had something else but it was sorted immediately.

Room Tip: We were in room 218 overlooking the back of the hotel - lovely room, nice balcony & quiet. Don...

We stayed her from 16 May for 10 days and my daughter had her wedding reception here. The hotel is beautiful, the food fabulous and the staff could not have done more for us.
The wedding reception far exceeded all of our expectations and the hotel staff made sure that everything was perfect on the day.
The hotel surprised us by delivering a cake and champagne to my son-in-laws room on his birthday and they made sure that all of our family were always seated together in the restaurant, creating larger tables for us when our party grew larger as more wedding guests arrived.
It was great to be all inclusive and not worry about ordering more drinks and the fact it was "couples only" made it more peaceful as there were no children running around.

The staff were very special; Angelo, Vincenzo and Matteo our favourites. Even the chambermaid was lovely.

We fully intend to return here in a couple of years.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main complex and thought this was better located than the Ochio Marina were the mor...
