Visited this hotel with my Mum and Dad at the end May and cannot rate it highly enough. The location is beautiful, high on a hillside with the most fantastic views. Rooms are spacious and kept spotless. The all inclusive is excellent, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks/drinks. Breakfast is buffet still including continental and cooked, lunch served by the pool bar includes the pizza cooked freshly in the stone oven, pasta, salads, ice-cream. Dinner is waiter service for starters and main course and a buffet includes salad's, vegetable, breads, bruchetta's and the yummiest desserts.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, this includes, waiters, pool staff, cleaners, reception, reps, entertaintment - some that derserve a special mention - Angelo, Antonio, Giovanni, Clemintine, Alessandro the rep, Gaeanno - sorry if I have forgotten anyone :O(
The entertainment was great and aimed and the variety of ages at the Hotel
We went on several of the Thompson trips and thouroughly enjoined them and found the guides very informative and interesting
Mum and Dad have booked to go back the day after we came home
So thank you every one at the Hotel Nastro Azzurro for a fantastic holiday :O)

This place is just absolutely amazing!!! We could not fault it!! The food is fantastic and plentiful. Breakfast is a buffet style with a pancake station, but you are still greeted at the door and shown to your table! Lunch is served by the pool and there is pizza everyday cooked on the stone oven, BBQ meats, pasta, salad, fish, fruit kebabs, ice cream...just so much choice! Evening meals are waiter service, you can help yourself to apertisers and vegetables, then you are served your started and main and can help yourself to more puddings than you can choose from (usually resulting in 3 being chosen!!) ;) Angelo greets you at the door and is very friendly, as are all the staff, pulling your chair out for you! We had a complimentary voucher for the A la carte restaurant, however we decided not to use it as the main restaurant was so nice!

The bar has all named brands of drinks which are brought to your sunbed or even hot tub!!! The hot tubs in the lovely quiet gardens overlook the mountains! The swimming pool was rather cold but it meant it never got busy so you could swim properly, and having no children there was a bonus too!!

We stayed in the Occhio Marino Block which had a 4 poster bed, robes and slippers and even a coffee machine! The terrace we had was only small but other rooms had big balconies.

There was a courtesy bus into Sorrento which you could book the night before and it only took about 15 minutes to get there! From here you could get the train to Pompeii and other places. Being a bit out of Sorrento meant you had breath taking views of the mountains and none of the hustle and bustle of the town, without being stranded!

We just could not fault this hotel, fantastic food, service, rooms and views. We would definately recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to go back!! Just such a fantastic place for a honeymoon too!!!

Had a great couple break here in April. Weather wasn't great (it rained for 6 of the 7 days) but we had a fantastic time. The Service in the Hotel is exceptional. We were all-inclusive, and I dont think we could have got better value if they had paid us to stay there. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. The quality of the food is the best I've had in a European all-incl. The beer on all-incl is Peroni, all the spirits are brand names, and even the table wines were of the highest standard.
The hotel is situated high in the hills just on the outskirts of Sorrento, but they run a courtesy bus into the town so it never presented a problem for us.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and I will definitely be back there to stay.

This has set the benchmark now for our future holidays!!

Wonderful service, all dining room staff so professional and Angelo-the most competent maitre de we have ever had the pleasure to be greeted by every morning, afternoon and evening!

What can we say about the italian "big Arnie" Antonio who worked tirelessly serving drinks each and every night, remembering what our fav tipple was despite having at least another 400 guests to cater for! And Alessandro who can make amazing cocktails!

Entertainment wise, Danni and Alex aka D'N'A were superb! Danni sang a special request for me one evening which she had practised so hard and her rendition of 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' moved us to tears. Alex has the most incredible blues voice and his sax playing was enjoyed at any time of day , be it relaxing by the pool or chilling in the evening.

All the organised events were so capably dealt with by Clementine including the Red Carpet Affair and Black and white evening, probably our favourite nights when the whole place was whisked back to the good old years of romance and dressing up for a night out!

The hotel itself was clean, well furnished and our bed linen and towels changed everyday. What a treat!

Food-superb!!! Whether by the snack bar or in the elegant dining room, there was something to cater for all tastes whether from the excellent buffet or the daily menu

Cant rate highly enough, thank you all at the Nastro for a truly memorable holiday and hope to see you again soon!!

Having read the most recent reviews, my submission would seem superfluous. I concur with most of the descriptions of this lovely Hotel. Also, having read damning reviews from previous years, I can see that both the management and refurbishment of the hotel has gone through a significant overhaul. My husband and I returned on the 8th of June having spent two weeks at the Hotel. We stayed in the Annexe and were fortunate to have a reasonable room with a wonderful view of the hills and sea. The air conditioning in our room was not the most efficient, and our fridge didn't work but we didn't bother to report it as it didn't worry us. What did concern us was the bath. Fortunately I had read an earlier review where a guest had warned about the lethal bath mats and of a previous accident of a guest. We could see why, as the bath had a fixed glass screen and the end of the bath sloped sharply making it difficult to climb in safely. We got around the problem by putting a damp towel in the bath to stand on initially. Also the water pressure of the shower was very low which was annoying. Apart from these problems we couldn't fault the cleanliness of our room, the comfortable bed, and the little extra efforts of our cleaning lady to make the room inviting. The grounds were immaculate, the garden beautiful, and the hotel was clean and well maintained.
We were greeted every mealtime by Angelo or by another of the restaurant waiters and escorted to a table. All the restaurant staff were efficient and courteous. It was a welcome change in an 'all inclusive' Restaurant to receive waiter service, and the service was professional and seamless. Also, the staff on Reception tried hard to help with any problems or information in a friendly manner. As for the entertainment, other Reviewers have described it well. The Bar Staff also deserve a mention, as they too did a sterling job. We did have one unfortunate experience with a particular bar waiter who seemed to have taken offence over something we may have said or done and banged our drinks on the table a couple of times one evening then avoided us the next day. We put it down to tiredness on his part and I decided to make an effort with him as otherwise it could have marred what had otherwise been a happy experience at the Nastro Azzuro. We would be happy to recommend this Hotel and hope to return. Thanks to All who work at the Grand Hotel Nastro Azzuro for giving us a lovely experience!
