We had four of us staying in Ammos. Literally got back last night and already miss the place! At times yes, it was quiet but believe me once you've been out on the strip which is literally a 5 minute walk you need it!!! The staff were lovely especially Zena who literally help you in any way possible. There was quite a few young people there when we were there so it was quite noisy in the evening around 9pm so wouldn't really suit couples in my opinion but none the less i loved it! beach is a 2 minute walk as is resturants and supermarkets. we seem to have been lucky cleaner was in everyday, sufficient kitchen utensils etc. Overall thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and would recommend it to any young people going out Malia!! Seriously best time of your life!! :D

Stayed here for 2 weeks this year. there was a group of 8 including couples, teenagers and single people. first of all i would like to say Zena is wonderful, she will make u feel welcome the minute u arrive. Special person. The appartments are clean and spacious, i would recommend air con which is 50 euros per week. there is plenty of room around the pool. Go to mojitos for breakfast they are wonderful.
Water city is the best waterpark and dont expect to see any dolphins on the mini cruise to dolphin bay although the bbq is wonderful.

The service we received was great the staff here are really friendly and make you feel really relaxed. I shared a room with mu mum and it was just right for us we had a small kitchenette table and stools hall leading to a bathroom and then our sleeping area. Our balcony was larger then some of the others and the view was Fantastic.
We were 5 mins walk into malia and about a 20 min walk from stalis, this was great as we were in the perfect location to be close to go out in the evening yet far enough to be away from all the noise if we wanted. Lots of clubs restaurants and shops all local and the beautiful beach was only a very short walk from our apartment.
I guess the best part about this holiday was the friendliness of the staff they mad our stay brilliant i cant really fault it. I loved it.

We got a very cheap last minute deal with Thomas Cook, but shame about the management! Lefti the manager can be your best friend, but when trouble comes he can be your worst enemy! I had a theft from the hotel safe, and he had turned on me! Not helpful in any way. The hotel as a whole was fantastic, again shame about cleanliness, they cleaned the rooms when they felt like it, didnt change sheets / towels for one week, so had the same for the entire duration of the holiday. The hotel is located about 50 metres from the beach, and 5-7min walk from the main MALIA STRIP. Definetly recommended for groups that do not want to rave all night all day! The hotel is not very lively, hence groups would be good! No need for any taxis or buses as everything is very close. The food at the hotel is freshly prepared, a bit expensive, but it is descent food. The rooms are generally well, just had a broken shower door, but did the job. The security man is very rude, and will not allow you to sit around the hotel bar after a certain time. He comments 'Go to the beach and have sex!' No guests are allowed, or there is a 20 euro charge a time per guest. Depending on your flight, you are allowed to extend your room till 6pm for an additional 25 euros. You are not allowed to take your on snacks / drinks / water to the hotel pool area, and their reason is 'TAX PURPOSES' very strange! Hence they can maximise on the bar profit, 1 euro for a 0.75L water bottle, and for 1.50 euros at the supermarket you 6 1.5L bottles! Yeh you are on holiday so shouldnt really think about costs, but that is really expensive! Overall, had a descent time, the rep picks his favourites, manager needs to change his attitude and the security need learn how to socalise!

Me and my 3 friends (All females, between 18-20) went for one week. The price we paid was quite expensive and wasn't worth how much we paid, the room slept 4 of us. The shower leaked on the floor, so we went through quite a few towels, even though we didn't get towels or our bedroom tidied every day. The rooms wasn't to bad. Lefty the manager is ok, there's a sign in the bar say 'FREE DRINKS TOMORROW' trust me tomorrow never comes, so don't get excited like we did lol. There was quite a few young people there, but the hotel itself wasn't 'party animal' suitable, they are quite strict. your not allowed other ppl in your room, so if you meet new friends go to there hotel. If your going for fun go for a 18-30. Good thing is if you want some peace and quiet its a little wlak away from the strip,so its quiet. Get a quad! drive safe :)

Stayed here with my husband and another couple for a week in October. It was a cheap deal and we were slightly worried about it being Malia what with the bad press it gets but when we went it was very quiet and perfect for us 40 somethings. There is only 12 apartments so it was quiet and peaceful. The apartments are far enough from the nightlife that it wouldn't bother you anyway but near enough that you can take a leisurely stroll into the main town. Lots of restaurants and bars and supermarkets so most needs are catered for. We had a lovely relaxing week in the company of some lovely holidaymakers and the bar owner Lefti and his family who couldn't have done enough for us. The bar prices were average and the snack food and breakfast was of very good quality. One evening Lefti even made a meal for some of us which was absolutley delicious. Please don't take any notice of the previous review...I was there at the same time as these 2 girls and they are omitting some facts. We personally didn't complain but the complaint wasn't about them parking up their quad at the end of their evening out but the fact that they were spinning it around in circles outside the apartments at 3 in the morning under the influence. I would personally recommend these apartments to anybody looking for a lovely week in the sun with good hosts.

just came back from the ammos apartments and could not wait get home!! the apartments are quite impressive for greek standards, maybe due to the fact they are only 3 years old but myself and friend felt like outcasts the whole time we were there. Lefti the owner only ever had time for older guests. we arrived back very late several nights to discover in the morning that the other guests had complained about the noise our quad bike made!! im sorry but you DO NOT go to a party resort like Malia if you are middle aged expecting to be in bed for 10pm every night and get a good nights sleep. We also explained to Lefti that we were getting bitten in our room by mossies, he did not take any notice at all, telling us to buy spray for the room. We discovered towards the end of our holiday that the other guests were being offered a two course meal with wine for 10 euro each twice weekly. This was not offered to us. I think he has a bad attitute towards young people. He should rename the apartments SAGA. word of advice for young party goers- stay well clear!!!
