My partner and I did not book this hotel as part of a package or anything, we booked it through a hotels booking website where it claimed this hotel had a fitness centre (which there isn't) and showed photos of the room we booked which were quite nice. Upon arrival the hotel itself looked ok but our room was completely different to the one in the photos we had booked. No windows, no balcony, very small, and my partner actually found it similar to the rooms he has to stay in while working offshore on oil rigs. The walls were paper thin (which meant we could hear all outside noise) there was no natural light and the bathroom flooded everytime you had a shower. We booked in for five nights, we stayed the first night as we were tired from our travels but left the day after. We were refused any money back for the five nights that we paid for even though we only stayed one, my partner even offered to pay for two nights to give them time to fill the room. The hotel manager was very rude and aggressive as soon as we requested to check out. We were offered another room with a window but by that stage we just wanted to get out of there. Triton is suited for young people who want a place to crash after a big night as it is close to the main strip. But if you're looking for a relaxing, comfortable and pleasant stay look elsewhere - we would recommend Kristalli in Old Town Malia which is where we moved to after Triton, it was fantastic!

Our holiday was a" allocation on arrival" . The holiday company were aware that myself[71] and my partner [75] both have some ailments that limit our movements. We were dropped at this hotel at a very early hour and when we went into the "room", variously described by other people as a "cell", my partner started crying. I immediately fetched the night manager who, after some persuading, moved us to another room. The rep from Olympic holidays was useless, telling us we would have to pay, again to move. This hotel is in the middle of the 18-30s area, not where you would normally place 70yr olds.
The hotel manager and his staff did their best to make us comfortable, but as this is the second time we have been let down by Olympic we will not travel with them again.

Room Tip: top floor rooms are best

i came here in the beginning of September with my boyfriend and had such a great time. Rooms were basic and clean had all the essentials you need, the beds were comfortable, rooms were cleaned daily by the housekeepers. food was nice traditional Greek food and had variety of different choices. breakfast wasn't very nice but i only managed to wake up for it twice. staff were lovely and helpful. definitely would come back here again. choice of all inclusive drinks aren't great, but i got used to drinking the brandy and orange. it was great location to all the bars but yet far enough away to not hear them at night. Great location to the beach.

Me & My girlfriend came here for a nice relaxing week away in Malia we got the holiday pretty cheap so weren't expecting it to be the hilton but it was a little worse than we were expecting. All the rooms are spread out everywhere. Theres some across the road a good bit away from the main entrance and then theres rooms up next to the pool which is even further away from the main building, seemed like we were always walking to go back to our hotel room or to get the pool and stuff. We were in one of the rooms across the road from main building and on the first night we didn't feel very secure as the front door was cracked and one kick to they kind of doors and they would have easily opened but there is security guards who walk around the rooms which is a little better.

Onto the food , was very basic but half of it was usually fine to eat like chips onion rings , mousakka & pastas where you cant go wrong.

The all inclusive drinks were really bad , the beer didn't get me tipsy or drunk at all was like a 2% beer or something , we ended up just getting fanta/sprite ect. to cool us down during the day the most annoying thing is the cups you get , small plastic cups that hold about 200ml. You are only allowed 1 at a time and by the time u walk from the bar to your sunlounger its finished and you feel like your constantly up down up down.

The staff were all very nice to us at the hotel Nikos at the pool bar & Nikos the triton hotel manager and also all of the cleaning ladies.

All in all you really do get what you pay for , If you get a room across the road you probably wont be happy & in our room the sleep quality was bad the beds were rock hard!. But the rooms closer to the reception/pool looked a little nicer so its just your luck if you get it or not.

Staff are good but FOOD DISAPPOINTING AS NOT MUCH CHOICE and SAME DISHES NEARLY EVERY NIGHT. Rooms are small and VERY DARK. Prices for AIRCON IS 36 EURO FOR A WEEK! 25 EURO for safe Then they wanted 25 EURO FOR THE FRIDGE which we didnt get then i looked at the back and the wire was tucked in to it SO I PLUGGED IT IN MYSELF. Very clean. Staff are nice and very accommodating.

Well what can I say. me and my family stayed in the triton at the beginning of August and met some great new friends, Georgi, Terry, vasili, Tanya, Andreas Nataly who are all from the hotel, such fantastic people and have kept in touch with Georgi, Terry and vasili (facebook). As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were greeted and taken to our room which was great. immediately we went down to the bar for a quick soft drink and had a look around the hotel, and we were delighted with everything. The food was local type dishes and we loved every meal although I don't normally eat that much I enjoyed and attended every meal. The waiters and waitress's were fantastic and very efficient (Vasili and Tanya). The barman George who did the evening shift is now a true great friend of mine and hope to meet him again one day as he is a remarkable person and we loved him to bits like family. The owner Natali just happened to be on holiday at the same time as she is not local to Crete and to was a remarkable lady. the rooms were cleaned every day and the sheets every other day were changed. The cleaner even put a vase with some flowers in which was a nice touch for my wife. The two security men were available all night and Andreas is a great man with a great heart. Terry the maintenance man was always good to us and we had some great conversation. If we go to Greece again I will definitely will be at this place as the location is central next to the strip but without the noise.
