myself and 2 other girls stayed here at the end of august, and it was totally what we expected, no less and no more!
although I'm not a fussy eater myself, my two friends were initially a but wary of the all inclusive food after reading the previous reviews. However, I cannot disagree more! Everyday there was a wide selection of food to fit everyone's needs, including lots of fresh salad!
I cannot compliment the staff more, especially Nikos the manager- one of my friends had booked separately and was in a room alone, so he immediately offered us an apartment all together on arriving. I feel he went out of his way to make sure everyone had a great holiday.
Georgey on the bar was also very freindly!
The only thing I would fault would be the all inclusive drinks finishing at 10 as most people didn't go out till at least 12!
Overall we enjoyed our stay here, no major problems and all small ones were sorted with no fuss!
Thanks!

Me and my mates stayed here in the middle of August on a lads holiday. We knew the all-inclusive operation was limited and started at 10am but we didn't mind, seeing as we didn't get up until around half 10ish.

Food at the hotel was hit and miss. The breakfast wasn't up to much but only got up once for that. Lunch and dinner was great some days and a bit naff other days but overall, it was okay. The drinks were either beer, wine, raki or ouzo. Raki and orange mixer was nice for when you got bored of beer.

The rooms were very clean (when one of my mates wasn't vomming) and were cleaned regularly. Our room was close to the reception and in a decent location so couldn't complain really. In addition, you could always get a sun bed at the pool area and there was a nice atmosphere.

All the staff were very friendly and could not do more for you. Nikos (main guy on reception and in the restaurant) let us use the all-inclusive even when we checked out, this was because our flight back was at daft o'clock so that was pretty sorted.

Malia itself is awesome. I would reccommend Zoo Bar for half-decent prices and big screen for when the footy is on. Just watch out for gypsies that try and pick-pocket you as one of mates ended up punching one of them on the strip.

Ulitmately, a good hotel and unless you're one of these idiots that pays buttons then expects the world, you should have a decent stay. If I went to Malia again, I would stay here.

Room Tip: When asked at check-in, get the air conditioning and you should get a decent room.

Written on behalf of my daughter, first holiday away from home without parents so they made us go all inc. to ensure that we ate!! Greeted upon arrival at the hotel by Nikos, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating for the duration of our stay at the triton! He made sure we had 1 big room for the 4 of us instead of 2 smaller ones and this proved to be a gret benefit to the holiday. Room was clean and comfortable and cleaned daily by polite maids. Food was good, never made breakfast but were told by other guests that it was ok. Prime location at the bottom of the strip and only 2 min walk from the beach, but far enough from the crowds to have a good nights (or days) sleep. Pool was clean and cool, always loungers available and pool bar was good, Georgio the barman was always up for a laugh and soon learnt our orders! Had the most amazing week of our lives in malia and would triton to anyone in our age group looking to go there!! Thankyou again to Nikos who made our holiday amazing and put us up in 317!!!!!! Love you Nikos and would deffo return!!!!! Jenny, Megan, Kate and grace (from 317) From Leeds

Room Tip: Request 317 for a party of 4!!!!

My friends and I have recently returned from a week long stay at the triton hotel. We were a group of five 17 year old girls on our first girls holiday.

The rooms were basic, but all we needed was a place to crash for a few hours! The triple room had a camp bed and despite our reservations was absolutely fine. The rooms were cleaned every day and during our week long stay our beds were changed twice. The cleaner was particularly pleasant.

The location of the hotel is perhaps it's greatest asset; just off the strip (about a 3 minute walk!) yet you can't hear any of the noise. The pool area at the hotel as is the bar area. The bar served all inclusive drinks from 10 till 10: water, several soft drinks, tea and coffee, beer, red/white wine, raki, ouzo or brandy. Brandy and fanta lemon was just about palatable! The guy that worked on the bar was really nice too. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a house vodka, but that is all.

I cannot actually believe the amount of people complaining about the food on here; I suspect they are people who are probably unwilling to try the food from
different cultures. We only made it to breakfast once but there was a choice cereals, fruits, yoghurt, several hot dishes and a continental section with breads, cheeses, ham, olives etc. For lunch and tea we enjoyed things like different soups, stuffed tomatoes, moussaka, Greek stews, fish dishes, marinated chicken wings and a Cretan specialty of deep fried anchovies. There was also a lovely fresh salad bar. There was always chips, bread and a simple pasta dish for the fussy eaters/unadventurous!

The staff at the hotel made our stay and as long as you are polite they will do absolutely anything for you. Nikos the hotel manager was lovely and especially helpful, giving us tips on how to save money on a night out. Andreas and phil the night security work long hours and put up with a lot; to them your safety is paramount. The staff at triton were fantastic.

Overall an absolutely fantastic week at the triton hotel, excellent value for money and I would recomend it to everyone!

Just got home a week ago from our first time on a girls holiday, and definitely got the holiday blues :( me and my cousin booked up last minute and had a fab time!!! Gutted to be home is not even the word! We were a bit disappointed when we arrived as we got dropped off went to reception got given our key and got taken across the road, our room was small, the back door didn't lock and we had no air con. We told the security guard we couldn't stay in that and he said we could change rooms in the morning, which we agreed on. We got ready and went out to try and forget about the room!! In the morning we went to reception to change rooms and the receptionist said we were to come back after 2pm we came back and then got told to come back at 6pm to speak to the manager, went at 6pm and still no sign of the manager so we had to sleep in the room AGAIN! The next day we spoke to the manager and she was willing to change our rooms, we got moved back across the road where the reception was and the room was lovely! It was spacious, decent sized balcony and had air con and the back door locked! We couldn't have asked for a better room!! The maid cleaned the room everyday and tidied up, we told her there were ants in the room and she moved them straight away, she was so nice. Leaving a wee word for Nikos at the hotel who always said hi to us everyday making us feel so welcome and always smiling after working 12 hours everyday... don't know how he does it!!! And also Georgio the barman.. couldn't say a bad word about him! The nightlife is amazing! We bought vodka and sourz for the room and then went out about 12. You have to go to Oasis Bar and Zig Zag club!!! We were regulars there!! We got loads of free shots from the owner of oasis bar, he's soooo nice! So get there! The security guards at night were so grumpy but hilariously grumpy! My cousin and i asked one of them every single night if he had a good night and he would reply the same bluntly.. No. But they done there jobs and kept everyone safe! The only thing is they wouldn't let you bring people back or let you go to other people's rooms. We spoke to a group of boys from the hotel but they wouldn't let us go to there room or let them come to ours but that is the managers decision and they are doing there job. Food is basic in the hotel so if you like chips you will be fine! If your looking for a cheap hotel, good service, 2 minutes away from the strip then this is the holiday for you!! We both would highly recommend this hotel and if we could we would be back in an instant! Nikos if you read this, its Natalie and Samantha from room 409, we miss you and everyone!!!! AMAZING HOLIDAY!!!!! Triton hotel... THE PLACE 2 BE!! X

Room Tip: Rooms on reception side are nicer!!
